Over the past few weeks, I’ve shared pictures and stories from our family’s recent brunch outings to Einstein Bros. Bagels. Going out to breakfast or brunch isn’t something we do very often since my boys are in school and we have sports activities on the weekends, so we all enjoyed these special treats.

With all of the recent coupons they’ve been releasing, grabbing brunch doesn’t have to be expensive either! This week, “like” Einstein Bros. on Facebook and download a BOGO coupon on bagel thin sandwiches.

    Breakfast is my favorite meal although I rarely have the time for it. I love to have brunch with my kids and husband on the weekends. It’s time to slow down, laugh and catch up with everyone. And when my hubby makes his famous french toast, nothing is better!

    Our special breakfast is homemade pancakes, eggs and bacon on a Sunday morning while watching Saturday Night Live on the DVR in our pajamas.

    My husband is the weekend cook…breakfast is his speciality and we all sit down as a family and enjoy the morning meal and discuss the fun doings we have planned for Saturday and Sunday!

    Our family loves to go out for a big breakfast on the first morning of summer vacation from school..pancakes, eggs, the works! It officially marks the beginning of a lazy summer. We also go out on the last morning of summer break for one last hurrah, lol.

    I LOVE me some Einstein Bros bagels. So much in fact (I have to have poppysead but I’ll settle for cranberry when they’re out) when I go to get some lately with all of the facebook coupons they’ve been out of my beloved poppyseed ones ugh.

    About breakfast, this morning we had cereal but I really do love a big breakfast and prob the best breakfasts I’ve ever had (besides my bagels and smears at Einsteins) have been the eggs housard at Mimi’s (like a benedict with a french wine sauce has been discontinued from the menu boo) and the Irish Breakfasts I was lucky enough to induldge in while in Ireland YUM!!!! Talk about a meal to set of your day LOL! I prob gained 10 lbs that week with the breakfasts alone!!!!

    Our tradition is to get Einstein bagels to go and then come home and eat them together as a family on weekends.

    every monring, my husband makes oatmeal the old fashioned kind, in a pot with raisins and strawberries (when they’re in season!) love it.

    We love being able to have brunch on the weekends at home. We make breakfast burritos or pancakes,eggs, and sausage. It’s so relaxing to be able to eat breakfast without having to rush out to work.

    We’ve recently started to have green smoothies every morning for breakfast. So the four of us, including my two toddlers, enjoy a delicious and very healthy smoothie each morning!
