Well, I try to shop sales and use coupons for a lot of the party things. I also make my own invitations and decorations! I usually supply all of the food but if I am particularly tight on money I will have guests bring an appetizer or snack. They usually don’t mind at all.

When I have a party I tend to buy things that are quick and easy to put together..for the kids I buy chicken nuggets and make mac and cheese…for the rest I usually have chicken wings, cheese and crackers, grapes, chips and dip, potato salad and a vegetable tray which I make myself. Making the veggie tray yourself is alot cheaper than buying it premade from the store
Heather!
Potluck is the way to go! It makes it soooo much easier on the hosts, and also is a great way to involve guests and gives them something about which to interact (especially if they don’t know each other).

I scour the blog world for easy snack foods – no big meal for us on Game Day it is all about the snackin – this deal at Walgreens allowed me to really stock up on drinks, chips, and dips. Here is one that recipe that is a WINNER – everyone I know asks me for it – https://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2007/12/flashback_1981_-_holiday_bacon_appetizers/
Be sure to make extra because they will go FAST!
