I have most decorations and supplies in bulk so the cost would be off food but we usually do a potluck dinner.
Stephanie
I like to make pasta (spaghetti or pesto), serve with salad, and homemade bread and wine. Last night I fed 8 people for $6.00 with this meal. Cheap, filling, and definitely yummy!

Our football parties are always potluck. Its easier on the hosts and we all get to sample each others favorite dishes and trade recipes.
Thanks for the chance to win!

My best frugal tips for throwing a party, is to stock up on party items when you see them on sale or clearance (such as decorative napkins). Also using coupons and pairing them with sales is great way to save on items you need for the party!

I always plan and shop in advance so that I can use coupons to cut down on grocery shopping and have people bring their own drinks if alcohol is involved…….

For superbowl or other parties, it is fun to have each guest bring an ingredient of the main dish. Someone brings cheese, someone else sauce for a pizza and so on. I’m more into the party than the football, so cooking while the others watch is fine with me! Usually, I have a friend or two who feels the same way!

I usually provide the main course, like hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill. I ask everyone else to pitch in with chips, drinks, salads, etc.
