send evites via evites.com and update your evite so when people respond they can also select from a list you have created of things you are hoping people will bring. (people normally always bring something… so this way you are being efficient, no duplicates etc). It will also help you save time on prep and we know time = money!

I save on paper products by choosing one cute/themed item and then matching everything else in a solid color. For the superbowl i have football napkins and green plates, tablecloth, and cups to match!

$50. Walmart giveaway – The MOST economical way to throw a party is to make it a “bring your favorite snack” party. Everyone brings their favorite appetizer / snack. The host will then only have the cost of paper products and drinks and maybe a couple of dishes. Iinstead of 100% of the cost…. it goes down to maybe 25%. I would only do this with good friends. If you think about it – no one likes to walk in to a party empty handed anyway, so this will also eliminate the problem of ?what to bring the hostess?… you bring your favorite snack/appetizer. Then, when everyone gets there, you have a low cost “Party” and everyone will have something there that they like to eat because they brought it ! : )
