We always ask our friends to bring their specialties – they enjoy showing off and the cost is shared out without any pain. Lots of fun!

We always stock up on the football paper goods after the big game each year. Then we have great ones for great prices!! Also, remaking some of that leftover Christmas candy is always fun too(if you had it hidden well and didn’t empty the stash yet, of course)

hope this didn’t repost – my computer froze up and went wacky before i hit submit last time – at least i think so :)

For party planning, I always look on websites and in magazines for ideas that resemble the theme I’m using. Then, I take the ideas I find and try to recreate them for a fraction of the cost. It makes me feel better about the money I’m spending (and not spending!) and also is tons of fun!

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
