The best way to save for a party like a superbowl party is to ask everyone to bring something. The more dishes, the merrier!

I love how you could do your thanksgiving at walmart for $20 and a super bowl party is double that. I guess it’s more finger and snacky foods. Love the parties and your giveaways!

We like to ask our guests to bring a snack to share and that way we all get yummy food, but split the cost.

Use things you’ve gotten with coupons! If you know you are hosting a party, stock up on essentials like chips, sodas, and party supplies when you have coupons.

The tried and true best way to party on a budget is a Pot Luck, we like to make it themed, for the Super Bowl you can ask people to bring dishes from the teams towns or state.
Chris
I have everyone bring drinks and this really cuts the cost! LOVE the superbowl!!!!

Set a budget and stick to it! Start buying nonperishable items and decor as soon as you can so you don’t have to buy everything the week of your party.

I try to buy things ahead of time when they are on sale, and then I plan my menu around my stocked goods.

My tip is to plan ahead and buy what is on sale!

I keep the menu simple in a number of ways. I always have my 9 year old daughter involved with making the menu. Kids have a tendency to keep things simple, and since she is helping to write the menu, its a guarantee that she will eat what I make and serve. I use any leftover food to make appetizers, such as quick and easy hor dourves. I use a coupon for any item I have to buy for the Big Game; and if I dont have one, I do a search for a printable Q before going shopping. I am an email subscriber to the site. Love the work you do for us!! Go Saints!!!!

My frugal party idea is to plan ahead and make food & drinks for everyone so that you don’t have to run out at the last minute and pay full price for food!

I plan ahead – #of people attending and the meal or snacks being served. Then I watch for sales and hopefully have coupons to help with the cost also.
