Win-It Wednesday: YoBaby Prize Packs (4 Winners!)

July 14, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting 24-hour giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!

YoBaby Yogurt has always been a favorite in our household. It was among some of the first table foods we fed our kids, and they still enjoy it today.

I was a little concerned recently when I heard that Stonyfield was downsizing their YoBaby Yogurt packages from a 6-pack to a 4-pack, thinking that like so many other companies lately, they might be attempting to shortchange customers by providing less product at the same price. However, YoBaby representatives have assured me that the price per cup of yogurt will remain exactly the same.

This gives you the ability to mix and match flavors more easily, so you’re not stuck with yogurts in a flavor that isn’t your child’s favorite. Choose from banana, vanilla, peach, blueberry and simply plain. Even better, there’s currently a new $1/1 YoBaby Yogurt 4-Pack printable coupon available!

Four lucky Deal Seeking Mom readers will each win a YoBaby prize pack that includes (5) 4-pack coupons, as well as a YoBaby tote bag and YoBaby bib.

To enter, tell me what your favorite flavor of yogurt is. Are you a strawberry lover or a vanilla purist?

+++++++++++++++

Every reader has four methods available to enter this contest. Choose one each of any combination of method one, two, three, or four for up to a total of 4 entries!!!

If you are reading this in your email or feed reader, please CLICK HERE to visit the original blog post to enter. Email entries will not be counted.

Methods of entry:

1. Leave a comment. What is your favorite yogurt flavor?

Win-It Wednesday: Dyson Air Multiplier 10-Inch Desk Fan

July 14, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting 24-hour giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!

This is no ordinary fan — obviously. In fact, did you even realize that it IS a fan?

This is the new Dyson Air Multiplier Table Fan, and while you’ll definitely have to pay a good amount for this revolutionary technology, there are some very valid reasons why you should give it some consideration when making your next fan purchase:

  • Notice there are NO blades — The Dyson Air Multiplier technology does not require blades to generate a steady stream of air. We don’t use traditional fans around our children because of the dangerous, fast-spinning blades. When I was younger, I leaned back over one of those old fans with the metal blades. It immediately sucked my long hair up in it, pulling out a good section of it, so while I learned the hard way, we’ve chosen not to expose our children to them at all.
  • It’s super easy to clean — After a few days of use, traditional fan blades and the fan casing become caked with dust, fibers, and pollen. Getting them clean is a major ordeal, but with the Air Multiplier, you can just easily wipe it clean with a damp cloth. This is especially important for households with allergy sufferers.
  • It uses a dimmer switch — Traditional fans usually only have 3-4 speed settings, but the Dyson Air Multiplier allows you to set your own perfect amount of air flow by turning a dial.
  • You can easily tilt it with the touch-tilt feature — Box fans don’t tilt at all, and directional fans can become loose over time, making adjusting them difficult. The Dyson Air Multiplier has a touch-tilt feature that makes directing the air flow simple and easy.

I know some of you that use a fan at night to help you sleep are probably wondering if it’s silent. Well, it’s definitely quieter than a traditional fan, but it still provides a good amount of white noise that will help put you drift off to sleep.

We’ve been thoroughly happy with our Dyson Air Multiplier Fan. Besides being very futuristic-looking and a great conversation starter, it does a great job cooling off a room in a safe manner that’s very important to this mom of five.

One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win a Dyson Air Multiplier 10-Inch Table Fan (ARV $299)

To enter, tell me where you’d put a Dyson Air Multiplier. Do you have a desk that needs cooling off, or is there a nightstand by your bed where you’d place it to keep you cool at night?

Win-It Wednesday: Plan to Eat Membership (6 Winners!)

July 7, 2010 by Deal Seeking Mom

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting 24-hour giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!

monthly-meal-planner

I’ve always envied those bloggers that faithfully post their menu plans each week. They seem so organized and as if they just have it all together. I imagine how nice it would be to know ahead of time what’s planned for dinner, but I’ve always struggled to implement menu planning into our schedule. Then I learned about Plan To Eat…

Plan To Eat is a meal planning website and so much more, and it’s really the perfect solution for someone as disorganized as myself in the kitchen. With Plan To Eat, you can easily compile your favorite recipes and then use them to create a weekly menu plan.

There are three main components to the Plan To Eat site: Recipe Book, Meal Planner, and Shopping List. One of my favorite features is the Recipe Book. I have literally hundreds of recipes that I’ve written down, torn out of magazines, or bookmarked in my browser. But while I have good intentions on making all of them, in actuality, I only try a few because of the sheer chaos.

The Plan To Eat Recipe Book allows me to compile all of these recipes in one location. I can tag them so I can find them easily in the future, and I can even upload photos of the finished product. Importing recipes from other websites is usually as simple as searching for the URL in the Add A Recipe view, or I can quickly add them with the bulk entry feature. Plus Plan To Eat makes it easy to share recipes with friends also using the service.

Meal Planning with Plan To Eat is simple once you have your recipes set up. Just drag and drop your selected recipe to the day you plan to prepare it. You can also save a group of menus as a plan that you can reuse in the future, and (I love this feature) you can add your plan to your Google Calendar. I don’t know what I’d do without my Google Calendar!

Plan To Eat goes above and beyond just meal planning. It will automatically generate a Shopping List based on your menu selections. Is one of your ingredients on sale at a local store in a given week? You can sort your list by store, making it easy to remember which ingredients should be purchased where.

I really feel like I’ve only just scratched the surface of what Plan To Eat can do, but why not check it out yourself? Plan To Eat is currently offering a FREE 30-day trial for their monthly menu planning site! Give it a try and let me know what you think.

Six lucky Deal Seeking Mom readers will each win a one-year membership to Plan to Eat!

To enter, tell me what your favorite family meal is!

+++++++++++++++

Every reader has four methods available to enter this contest. Choose one each of any combination of method one, two, three, or four for up to a total of 4 entries!!!

Methods of entry:

1. Leave a comment. What’s your favorite family meal?

2. Subscribe to the Plan to Eat blog for recipes, organizing tips and more. Be sure to come back and leave a separate comment letting me know you’ve subscribed.

3. “Like” Plan to Eat on Facebook to get previews of new features and suggest features you’d like to see! Come back and leave a separate comment letting me know you’ve done so.

4. Subscribe to my feed via RSS or email. You must confirm your email subscription for it to be a valid entry! Leave a separate comment letting me know you have done so.
