Consumer Recalls: Bassettbaby Drop-Side Cribs

There have been several consumer recalls over the past couple of days that may affect Deal Seeking Mom readers. Please refer to the links included in each section for more details about the specific recalls:

Bassettbaby Drop-Side Cribs

Bassett Furniture Industries, Inc. is recalling Bassettbaby drop-side cribs with external plastic hardware because the cribs’ drop-side rail can malfunction, detach or otherwise fail, causing part of the drop side to detach from the crib.  When the drop-side rail detaches, it creates a space between the drop-side and the crib mattress where an infant or toddler can become entrapped which can lead to strangulation and/or suffocation.  For a visual example of the drop-side cribs and a complete list of model numbers, go here.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled drop-side cribs and contact Bassettbaby for a free kit that will immobilize the drop side.  Contact Bassettbaby at 800-308-7485 between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, or visit the firm’s website.

Other Recalls
