Cal-Maine Foods, Inc. has recalled approximately 25,000 dozen eggs because they could be contaminated with Salmonella Enteritidis (SE). The eggs were purchased by Cal-Maine Foods from Ohio Fresh, processed and re-packaged in Arkansas between October 9 and 12 and distributed to food wholesalers and retailers in Arkansas, California, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas.
There have been no confirmed illnesses related to the eggs, but consumers should returned the affected eggs to the store where they were purchased for a full refund. For a full list of affected eggs, click here.
Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.
