Breakfast for dinner is a favorite in our house. You can’t get much cheaper than pancakes and eggs.

I really love wraps. For lunch, or a little snack. They’re quick, healthy, & delicious! I usually fill mine with veggies or spring mix, lean turkey, any good cheese, & sometimes hummus. & my son loves them too!

I like to make tacos. They are easy, inexpensive, but still on the nutritional side
Whitney
We have “breakfast” for dinner about once a week. Pancakes, french toast, or egg sandwiches…it’s easy, cheap, and the kids love it!
Mandy
When I need a quick dinner, I like to make breakfast with some fruit. It is really quick, delicious and somewhat healthy.

One of my favorite inexpensive meals is roast (cooked in the crock pot so it’s super easy too!). I only buy them when they are BOGO free and since our kids are little and they don’t eat a lot of meat, I’m able to get the smallest ones the store has. Add a can of green beans (bought with coupons of course) some carrots and a few cut up potatoes and it’s a wonderful meal for not a lot of money. There are always enough left overs for lunch the next day (I like to shred up the meat and make BBQ sandwiches) and the broth makes for some wonderful noodles!

we like to make ramen noodles as a noodle dish, not soup. i know that the packets are loaded with sodium and junk so i use as few of them as possible and add several packages of frozen vegetables.

Expensive meals at my house include: tacos, pasta, egg noodles with scrambled eggs, or sometimes even breakfast for dinner. All are kid-friendly at my house plus easy to prepare! Thats a win-win.

I love making tacos, enchiladas, burritos and pasta dishes. I also make quite a lot of dishes that use ground beef or chicken as the main ingredient because there are so many different things that can made with them.

At my house we search meals based on ingredients from coupon sales for instance I have a ton of stove top stuffing from thanksgiving sales so this week one meal will be some kind of stuffing casserole. I would love to see more of this $5 meal book

My fave cheap meal is beans and rice! I survived on this in college and love it to this day. Just add some salsa and cheese and you’re good to go!

I only receive your rss feed.
Ground Turkey is very inexpensive and if seasoned correctly, can take the place of beef anytime.
