Our favorite cheap dinner would have to be frijoles charros, its kinda like pinto bean soup only more watery. I use a lb of dried beans, a very small amount of chorizo, bacon and sometimes hot dogs, and there you go! A huge pot costs less than $2, and its something everyone will eat.

We love tacos. It’s not too expensive to make and you can feed a lot of people. We make sure we add the veggies on top to keep it healthier.

I’m Korean-American, and my mom is an amazing cook who’d create her own original East-Meets-West fusion recipes. My fave is what I and my 3 sibs call her “Red Stew,” its color coming from Korean red pepper paste. 15 mins to healthy, easy, spicy + yummy.

I don’t know how to cook. Usually we have hamburger helper cuz it’s cheap, easy and taste good. But we really need help for some variety. Pick me please!! :)

I love making flautaus. I just cook chicken on the stove with season salt and then put the cooked chicken in corn tortillas and fry them up. So easy, so cheap and SO good!

One of my favorite meals is cooking dried pinto beans. I will make enough for two meals and use the leftovers the next night and make chili beans or bean buritos. We try to balance eveything out as far as eating healthy, not too much sugar.
Thanks,
Claudia

We love sherry chicken. I buy cut up fryer chicken when it’s on sale for $1.29 to $0.99 per lb. The recipe is as follows:
four chicken breasts (or fryer pieces)
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup cooking sherry
Place chicken in baking dish, mix remaining 3 ingredients and pour over the top of chicken. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes (less time if pieces are small, more if they are thick)
We serve this over rice with the sherry sauce. Cheap and so good and we usually have enough for left overs the next day.

We love polish sausage and sauteed onion and bell peppers! Put it over rice, on buns, with some kraut…ANYTHING!! YUM!
