Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting 24-hour giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!

One of the most common questions I get about stockpiling is, “How do you manage your stockpile?” Frankly, this is something I still struggle with. My kitchen pantry is relatively small — certainly not large enough to house a stockpile that will sustain a family of seven. We have additional shelving, as well as an extra refrigerator and deep freezer in the garage, but I’ll admit that it’s difficult at best to keep tabs on everything.
So when Tiffany from Shelf Reliance asked if I’d be interested in trying one of their Cansolidator Pantry shelf units I jumped at the chance. Not only does it save space, but it also automatically rotates your stockpile, ensuring that products are used in the order of expiration. Furthermore, it alleviates the sometimes dangerous practice of stacking cans on top of each other. Have I ever told you about the time my husband dropped a can of peas on my bare pinky toe? Well, let’s just say it was not a pretty sight…
Now I just need to pick up a few more Cansolidator units to finish organizing. Luckily Tiffany has a great deal for us:
This week only, Tiffany is offering Deal Seeking Mom readers an exclusive 52% discount on the Cansolidator Pantry. Enter coupon code Save1 at checkout, which will bring the price per unit down to $21.49!

The hardest part about keeping my panty clean is organization. It starts out organized but once I start searching for that infamous last can of corn or green beans that I know I stashed away somewhere only to learn that either I or my hubby already used it or it never left the store. Another problem is our pantry is also used to store other household items such as vaccuum cleaner, commercial mop bucket, pots and pans, microwable containers, etc. Finding a can good is sometimes like looking for a needle in a haystack.

My pantry is small but deep and I forget what’s in the back.

I don’t have a lot of room to begin with so once you start stockpilling….it gets really hard to keep everything in order.

bags are the most difficult – there just seems to be no good way to “stack” them (they are always falling out when I open the pantry door :)

Kids are my obstacle to organizing in any room but especially my pantry!
Jessica-MomForHim
it’s just hard to keep things organized so I know what I have on hand. this would help.

My pantry can look like a disaster only days after ‘re-organizing’! Cans are definitely a problem, but other storage products (plastic storage containers, bags of rice or pasta, etc.) can be a hassle, too.

My biggest problem is bags of chips, etc. I can’t find a neat way to store all the bags of things, it’s so frusterating!

What is the hardest part about keeping your pantry clean?
Keeping it organized! Things get piled up on top of each other and I lose track of what I have in there. It gets to be a crazy mess and I repurchase things I already have without realizing it.

Our pantry is hidden behind the coats in our coat closet (yes, not a very good design), so it is really hard to get back there to pull things out. I’ve almost lost a toe multiple times from cascading cans.

The hardest part of keeping my pantry clean is getting my family to put things back after they’ve used it. They never seem to put it back where I had it.

Half empty boxes are everywhere. And nothing is ever the same size! I have very messy cupboards.
