Win-It Wednesday: Shelf Reliance Cansolidator Pantry (4 Winners!)

June 2, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting 24-hour giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!

One of the most common questions I get about stockpiling is, “How do you manage your stockpile?” Frankly, this is something I still struggle with. My kitchen pantry is relatively small — certainly not large enough to house a stockpile that will sustain a family of seven. We have additional shelving, as well as an extra refrigerator and deep freezer in the garage, but I’ll admit that it’s difficult at best to keep tabs on everything.

So when Tiffany from Shelf Reliance asked if I’d be interested in trying one of their Cansolidator Pantry shelf units I jumped at the chance. Not only does it save space, but it also automatically rotates your stockpile, ensuring that products are used in the order of expiration. Furthermore, it alleviates the sometimes dangerous practice of stacking cans on top of each other. Have I ever told you about the time my husband dropped a can of peas on my bare pinky toe? Well, let’s just say it was not a pretty sight…

Now I just need to pick up a few more Cansolidator units to finish organizing. Luckily Tiffany has a great deal for us:

This week only, Tiffany is offering Deal Seeking Mom readers an exclusive 52% discount on the Cansolidator Pantry. Enter coupon code Save1 at checkout, which will bring the price per unit down to $21.49!

Four lucky Deal Seeking Mom readers will each win a Shelf Reliance Cansolidator Pantry that holds up to 40 cans!

I struggle with my spices. I have a ton of spices and extracts and no good way to organize them so that I don’t have to empty half the cabinet every time I need vanilla extract or baking soda. I have one of those spice racks but it doesn’t even come close to covering my needs.

Stacking cans and then seeing/knowing what is there is definitely my biggest problem!

The hardest part about keeping my pantry clean are the boxes and just the lack of space. The kids tend to leave the boxes open and crumbs end up everywhere. Once I get a good stockpile of cans going they fill the pantry quickly so this would be a great prize.

The hardest part of keeping the pantry organized at home is a husband and kids who like to rummage and not put things back in any certain order. I would love one of these organizers for the cupbards in my camper, though. It’s hard to organize the cans in there and there is very limited cupboard space. This product looks like it would be VERY helpful.

I dont have a “pantry”. My stockpile is in a room in my basement where everything extra, old, holiday goes. Nothing is organized in there and it would be very helpful to have this to help me start organizing!! :)

the hardest part about keeping my pantry clean is lack of space. my pantry is off of my laundry room, and doubles as storage also. I have put up shelving in the laundry room and wire shelves in the pantry to create more space, in addition i have purchased a storage unit in my kitchen. I have just begun to stockpile again after having depleted it in the last yr. A big problem for me is keeping the cans sorted by type of product and ensuring FIFO (1st in 1st out) so nothing gets wasted… not to mention witha culinary background that’s just a pieve of mine so with limited space rearranging the cans each shopping trip almost isnt wortht he effort of stockpiling.

The contents of the pantry become too heavy for the shelves. We rent, so instead of installing stronger shelves, we start stacking heavy items elsewhere.

I use part of my hall closet, but it gets stuffed with cereal boxes. I barely have room for anything else. All of my non-perishables have to go in the garage and canned goods get stacked and stacked in the kitchen cabinet. And yes, I’ve had cans fall on my toes. Ouch.

The hardest part about keeping the pantry organized, is finding a place to put everything. Our pantry is long, but if things get stuck behind something else, we often times forget it is there and end up with more of the same thing because we have forgotten about what we already have.

The hardest part is definitely the cans and getting to the back of a cabinet (especially with cans in front)! I can’t tell you how many times I have bought something that I already have in my cabinets because I didn’t see it in the back.

Our pantry shelves are deep and often times items get shoved behind others and we forget we have it! Thanks for the opportunity to win!

My kitchen is very small and the difficult part is stacking and organizung everything in the small space. This stacked will be of very help for me.

The hardest part about keeping our pantry organized is the cans. We currently have cans stacked on top of each other…and I’d like to stop doing that!
