Win-It Wednesday: Marcal Paper Products Package (4 Winners)!

February 17, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting several 24-hour giveaways throughout the day to give you plenty of chances to win!

Maybe you’re not ready to go full on green and use cloth for napkins, paper towels, or *gasp* even TP, but Marcal has a decent compromise with their Small Steps line of products. Marcal Small Steps are produced from recycled paper so they’re gentle on the environment while still being easy on the wallet.

We’ve been giving many of the Marcal Small Steps products a test drive around our house, and while they may be slightly less soft than their traditional counterparts, I’d say the environmental impact outweighs any slight difference in quality. If you want to give Marcal a try for yourself, there was a FREE Marcal Paper Products coupon in the 1/31 Smartsource insert!

Marcal Paper is dedicated to providing paper products to consumers like you that you can feel good about purchasing. As an “Earth-Friendly Paper Goods Company,” they believe products should work well, be good for the environment and be affordable. All of their products are made from recycled paper.

Four Deal Seeking Mom readers will win a Marcal Paper Products Package including:

  • Dinner Napkins
  • Napkin Drawstring Bag (180 ct.)
  • Upright Facial Tissues (80 ct.)
  • Facial Tissues (144 ct.)
  • Single Roll Giant Towel
  • 4 Rolls Bath Tissue 2-ply
  • 4 Rolls Bath Tissue 1-ply (1000 ct.)
  • Regular Towels (3 rolls)

To enter, tell me if there’s anything you do to cut down on paper waste in your home.

To cut down on paper usage: I don’t cut out my printable until I use them. That way, if I don’t use them and they expire, they can be sent through the printer again to print more coupons! Thanks!

we try to use more dish towels to clean up spills and wipe our hands instead of using tons of paper towels or napkins.

For the extra pages that print from the printer with one line of info you don’t need or misprints they become art projects for my daughters.

I almost sold all of my cloth napkins at my last garage sale. Instead I put them in a basket on my kitchen counter to use in place of paper towels.

We use cloth napkins for the family for ever day use. We have paper only for visitors (our napkins have a lot of stains). We use envelopes that bills come in for scrap paper. I print coupons on recycled paper. We have aprox 99 gallons of recycling a week and only take out the garbage every 3 weeks.

We do not use a lot of paper towels — we use cloth. We also reuse the regular paper in our house — when we get mail, if the back of the paper is blank, it is considered “coloring paper”.

I use the plastic grocery bags for wastebasket liners

I don’t clip my printable coupons until I am ready to use them. If they expire I print the new ones on the other side of the paper.

I save printed stuff that we don’t use for the kids to use for drawing and other projects. While not saving paper, I save the envelopes from the mail we get and the kids play with those too.

    Thanks!

I keep washclothes on the counter by the paper towels so we grab those more instead of paper towels.

We reuse printer paper. The kids always want to print pictures to color and what not, so we recycle the paper and let them print those things on the backs of paper that was already printed on.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
