My husband and I need to spend more time together without the kids. We only get to do this about four times a year when we are visiting my parents or his. This would be a great way of spicing things up!

My best tip is early bedtime! Go to bed when the kids do and enjoy the alone time.
Kimberly
When our kids were little, we always made a point to have a “date night”. We packed the kids off to their uncle or grandparents for a sleepover so that we had at least one night for ourselves a few times each month. The kids got to spend time with family and we got to spend time with just each other.
Thanks for the chance to win!

oh, to be young again!
after being married almost 20 years and with toddlers that don’t nap I can understand the 1-3 times a month scenario. Sometimes we’re not much further ahead ourselves. Best advice, finding good reliable babysitters. Also, remembering that at some point the kids will grow up and you’ll still be together.

It can be difficult to spice things up with little children but my best advice is to get the kids to bed at a reasonable hour and cuddle up to watch a favorite movie or show – just be in each others company and make the most of the quiet alone time.

Put the kids to bed early and enjoy the alone time with each other.

Have a date night – my parents take my daughter for the evening so we can go to dinner and just be alone (I know how lucky we are to have my parents close by).

Hello to all. My suggestion for a couple who want to spice things up would be the following:
Throughout the day send flirty text messages and even send some naughty pics. That way an interest is sparked and emotions build up throughout the day.
By then hopefully a baby sister can be secured if not for the whole night then for a few arrivals.
Before your spouse arrives I would have the bedroom/or house set up for romance such as candles, nice scents, rose petals, etc. And to top it off, have a costume on or really nice lingerie. I’ve been married for 8 years and I’m 31 years old. Just recently I decided to purchase costumes such as the sexy referee (because my husband plays a lot of sports). It sparked things up for us and he could not stop thinking about me (not that he did before). lol. Try new things that are out of your ordinary.
