Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting 24-hour giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!

As part of the relaunch of their Pregnancy & Parenting site, iVillage recently asked its readers to complete a Married Sex survey. Among the key findings were these interesting results:
- 63% of married women said they would prefer to catch up on an extra hour of sleep, watch a movie or read a book than have sex with their spouse
- 31% of women reported that they had a better sex life before marriage
- 14% of women have participated in sexting, while 17% have sent flirty email messages
- 44% of women said the quality of their sex life has not changed since having kids
- 23% of women have sex 1 to 3 times a month

Schedule a night ahead of time, maybe once a week or once every two weeks, whatever works. Have a babysitter come over, and spend a night at a hotel or a cabin!

Try to schedule your time earlier in the day rather than after the kids are in bed, when you are both tired.

Sometimes just a spur of the moment time together while the kids are occupied with something else is all it takes to keep us feeling close to each other.
Sherri
We put our kids to bed around 6:30p/7p everynight so that we can just have adult time! It works out well because our kids don’t nap and they are ready for bed when it comes to bedtime!

my tip – get rid of the children and split a pitcher of sangria

We like to buy each other little gifts, not anything expensive.

Cool idea for a gift basket! My tip would be to have sleepovers with the cousins. That way you get a night to yourselves once in awhile, and get to see your nieces/nephews when it’s their turn at your house! :)

I try to have all the household chores done by the time the kids go to bed, and they go to bed at the wonderful hour of 8pm, so that my husband and I have time together to talk or do WHATEVER :) in the evenings. lol

After an especially hectic week, dh and I will slyly set the house clocks ahead an hour after dinner. Mommy starts to clean up after dinner, and Daddy takes the little ones outside to help clean up there. I set the house clocks ahead an hour, and when everyone comes back inside, it’s time to start baths, bed, etc. The kids unknowingly go to bed an hour earlier than usual, and Mommy & Daddy get an extra hour to themselves. *giggle* ;)
Jeri
Send the kids somewhere for an overnight stay!!!!

Just make up secret code words…then you can flirt and the kids don’t know what you’re talking about….make sure the “code” words are innocent…just in case the kids repeat them :)
