As part of the relaunch of their Pregnancy & Parenting site, iVillage recently asked its readers to complete a Married Sex survey. Among the key findings were these interesting results:

- 31% of women reported that they had a better sex life before marriage
- 14% of women have participated in sexting, while 17% have sent flirty email messages
- 44% of women said the quality of their sex life has not changed since having kids
- 23% of women have sex 1 to 3 times a month

Couples should at least once a month go our for dinner and a movie, dinner and dancing something they can enjoy together. And make sure they have a good babysitter where they don’t have to worry and can just enjoy their child-free hours.

The best tip I can give is to remember your spouse, we all get caught up cause there is so much going on and so much to do that considering your spouse and doing something nice can hold you over till you can get a babysitter and get out together kidless for just a few precious hours!

We put an amoritorium on talking about work or anything stressful on date nights. We save that time for dreaming, planning fun things, and getting to know eachother better.

suck it up and get a babysitter – often. consider it an investment in your marriage. that’s worth a few bucks, i would imagine.
Krista
Make time to really talk — face to face with no distractions, whether it be date night or just while enjoying a bowl of icecream after kiddos are in bed (with no TV on).

My husband and I plan date night– even if we’re exhausted, it’s essential to make time for each other. We also try to connect during the day while we are both at work– foreplay starts in the morning!!!!

Get a babysitter and get out of the house!

Never underestimate the power of some lovin’ in the morning! I know you’re tired, and could sleep an extra 30 min…but DO IT! It’s a GREAT way to start the day!!
You’ll be glad you did : )

What a great basket!!
You need to get away from the house, kids, animals ever once in awhile and just be yourselves. It is too easy to just become mom, caretaker, etc…. and sometimes if you can just get away to another city, or just a hotel-you can be who you were before you had kids and got busy with the grind of everyday life! So ~ just get away and be yourself and you and your husband can have a great time and come back home refreshed!

Set aside at least one day (maybe a month) to let the kids spend the night with grandma, & get out together!
