Win-It Wednesday: Duo Binder and Slice Safety Cutter (10 Winners!)

April 14, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting several 24-hour giveaways throughout the day to give you plenty of chances to win!

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Duo Binder. All opinions are 100% mine.

I recently had the opportunity to test drive a new product called the Duo Binder. What makes this product unique is the fact that it combines the functionality of a 3-ring binder with an expanding file folder, with double elastic closures to keep everything securely in place. Check out the Duo Demo to see it in action.

Of course the first thought that came to my mind when I saw it is that it’s perfect for coupons! I’m a “file by insert” kind of couponer (more on this in an upcoming couponing series), so the expandable file is perfect for storing recent inserts by date. My plan is to purchase some baseball card inserts for filing coupons that I purchase for upcoming deals, as well as printable coupons.

Product Specs:
— 6 tabs/7 sections in the expanding file folder
— 1″ binder
— 6 graphic design styles to choose from plus black

Even outside of couponing, I can see this being a very useful tool for school-aged children. It’s kind of like the modern version of a Trapper Keeper. Surely many of you had one of those in school, LOL?

As I mentioned before, this is a prerelease product. This product is not available in store yet, but Duo Binder is offering a special price online for Deal Seeking Mom readers. Get 50% off your purchase and FREE shipping with the code dealseekingmom0410.

Duo Binder wants to send 10 lucky Deal Seeking Mom readers their very own Duo Binder so you can give it a whirl too. Plus I’m tossing in one of my very favorite coupon cutting tools, the Slice Safety Cutter.

To enter, just share your thoughts on the new Duo Binder. What do you like about it? Is there anything you would add or change?

Ten lucky Deal Seeking Mom readers will each win a Duo Binder and a Slice Safety Cutter.

To enter, tell me how you would use the Duo Binder. Is there anything you specifically like or don’t like about it?

I would use the binder to file all of our important papers – homeowners and car insurance policies, health insurance info, etc.

I think the binder might inspire me to stop clipping every coupon and use the insert method and clip as needed.

I would definitely use it for coupons, I use a filing box right now and clip when I need something, but it would be nice to always have the coupons with me so when I see a deal I can get it right away instead of going back.

I would use it to store my jewelry ideas – which are all over my work space right now!

Awesome! I would use baseball card inserts to store clipped coupons, and use the accordian style section to store rebate forms, unclipped coupon inserts and my printed store specials sheets.

I think this is a great binder and will have to get one whether I win one or not. Thanks for sharing!

I LOVE THIS. My coupon holder has seen better days and I have wanted a place to keep stuff (inserts, coupons packets, rebate forms) until I am ready to use it.

I sure could use this! Thanks for the chance to win it. (Yes, I had a Trapper Keeper too!)

Very cool! I love the design options…much more fun than some of the other boring binders I have. I might give it a shot for my organizing my coupons however, I cut out coupons rather than keep the inserts so it may not be conducive to that need. I do need to find a better way to stay organized though. For areas of improvement, I’d like to see smaller pockets or maybe even a zippered pouch included for us couponers! lol!

I think if I were to have a Duo Binder I would probably use it to file my receipts for the month, bills, weekly store shopping lists and matching coupons, and active rebates. I like the idea of the accordian files as you can tell. I also like that there is a three ring binder. It is a multi purpose all in one kind of binder. If I had to change anything I might make it a 2″ rather than 1″ just so I could hold more stuff.
