I had issues using the Scotch Brite Q yesterday. It printed a “journal” and the cashier had to enter the Q manually. Anyone tried using this anywhere else? I was wondering if it did this everywhere or just at Walmart.

Danica no it didn’t do it for me. It went through but she was entering them manually at the $0.84. So they just adjusted the coupon down.

tried using the scotch brite sponges today…cashier wouldnt adjust the coupon lower and refused to let me use it all! She said she would only apply it to the multi-pack of sponges. I tried telling her (politely) that that isnt what the coupon says…but she refused! She was also very rude throughout the entire check out! So frustrating!

I’m a little confused on the Scotch Brite coupon. It says $1 off 2, so not sure how they would be free?

Ann, they must have changed the coupon. I printed out like 15 of them that were $1 off of 1. It now says $1 off of 2. Still a good price if you need them though.

To anyone who is gonna do the scotch-brite deal.. If you can help it.. do not let them adjust it down to .84. the CSM and cash office manager at my Wal-mart told me that they get FACE VALUE on this coupon the full $1 and they are to give you the full $1 .. which means .12 of overage on each sponge! Just so you guys know! :D

I just printed the coupon for the scotch brite sponges and it is for $1.00 / 2 – not $1/1 like stated in the post. I don’t know if it changed or if your walmart doubles, but the value on the coupon states $1/2….so not free at my walmart.

When I printed the coupon yesterday it printed $1/1. Walmart wouldn’t let me get the overage but I really didn’t care seeing that I was getting the sponges for free anyways. Good thing I printed 100 of the coupons seeing it was in pdf form. I saved it to my computer. So I still have the $1/1 coupon woohoo lol may print more seeing that I can still get them free. Did anyone else save it to their computer yesterday. Are this coupons still going to be valid if I print more? I sure hope so. :~/

If you have the original coupon saved, it should still be valid through the stated expiration date.

I have to ask how you justify putting out a coupon that doesn’t even work Scotch brite.. And how from one day it goes from $1/1 to $1/2. I have been to 2 walmarts and 1 meijers and they will not take the coupon as it will not scan. But YET I read s many are getting tons of these. I went to the website and got the coupon from there and totallyy different coupon. I am going to try it.

Melissa, I’m not quite sure if your comment is directed at me or at 3M, so I just wanted to make it clear that I did not issue this coupon. I only provided the link to the file hosted on the 3M site. I’m sorry that they changed it after I posted it, but unfortunately I don’t have any control over that.

I just came from the Long Beach Walmart and the checker and the supposed floor manager would not take the coupons…i only had 4. The manager said that we dont take coupons where you get the item for free. I told her nicely that I have done it before here and that it seems like she is making her own policy. I then asked to speak to someone higher and she would not budge. Can you please tell me where I can find the Walmart policy on this situation so that I can print it out for her and educate her on her store policy. They were all so confused there.

Well I was pleasantly surprised to see a quick response from them. Here is what they said and i think it clarifies our point. I am making a few copies of this so that I can hand them to the cashiers if there is an issue.

A salaried manager may refuse to accept a coupon if it does not meet certain
    criteria.

Coupon guidelines and limits include but are not limited to the following:

Walmart only accepts coupons for merchandise we sell and only when presented at
the time of purchase. Coupons should have an expiration date and be presented
within the valid dates. Walmart will not accept expired coupons or
double/triple coupons. Internet coupons should be legible and say “Manufacturer
Coupon_ and there should be a valid remit address for the manufacturer and
scannable bar code. Store Coupons must reflect a specific sale price or
original price and must be available to all customers.

    For ‘Free’ merchandise
coupons, customers will not receive cash back — the cashier will adjust the
value of the coupon to the actual retail of the item at the time of sale. In
addition, only one coupon per item is permitted and use of 40 or more coupons
per transaction will require approval by a Customer Service Manager.

    Sincerely,
    Walmart Customer Care
