Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting several 24-hour giveaways throughout the day to give you plenty of chances to win!

I’m a foodie at heart, so I love trying out new recipes. When I heard that All You, my absolute fave magazine, was publishing a cookbook, I jumped at the chance to review it. All You Eat Well, Save Big is filled with over 140 meals under $2.50 per serving, this is a fantastic resource for those of us trying to live within a budget. These recipes don’t skimp on meat, and are full of flavor.
I love the fact that the recipes have a reasonable number of ingredients. My eyes just glaze over when I see those ingredients lists that are ten miles long. And I also enjoyed the Smart Tips that are shared throughout the book, giving advice on choosing the perfect pot, quick and easy side dishes, how to pick the perfect produce, and much more.
Of course, what publication from All You would be complete without coupons? The following coupons are included in the back:
- $1/2 Jack Daniel’s Barbecue Sauce or EZ Marinader, exp. 12-31-10
- $1/1 Lea & Perrins Thick Classic Worcestershire Sauce, exp. 12-31-10

I like a good roast in the crockpot. It is just too easy. Dump in the carrots, potatoes, onions, mushrooms, 1/2 cup water, 1/2 cup red wine or burgundy sprinkle a little pepper, brown the roast on both sides in the skillet (or even skip this step) salt and pepper the roast, dump it in the crockpot on top the veggies, cook on low all day, come home to the best smellling house on the block! The onions at the bottom end up carmelized. Oh baby!
Thanks for having the giveaway!

This is a hard one to answer – everyone has a different favorite!! The one thing we all agree on and have quite often is BBQ’s. Brown hamburger – add ketchup, mustard, brown sugar, worchestire sauce, vinegar.

My newest favorite recipe is this Cheese Stuffed Shells recipe I found on meal planning mommies. It is so easy to make and I love the fact that you can freeze the extra shells for another meal.

Right now my family’s favorite recipe is Crock Pot Pork Butt BBQ. I got the recipe from a friend. All you do is put your pork butt in the crock pot and put garlic salt over it and some crushed pepper flakes (however much to your liking) and let it cook on low for about 8-10 hours. It falls apart. You may have to pour the juice off of it. I just take a slotted spoon and get all the meat out. It makes enough for dinner and plenty of leftovers. We all pour on whatever BBQ sauce we like or you can eat it plain. It is delicious!!! You can also get it really inexpensive. Right now my local grocery store is selling it for $.98 a pound.

Our families favorite is good old meatloaf and mashed potatoes. Make it simple with a little onion, mustard, salt, pepper, garlic powder-add to 1 lb ground round, a little bread crumbs-yummy. Simple is best.
