Stockpile paper goods and nonperishable foods when they are on sale, so you always have a variety of items on-hand for a party.

I think if you ask everyone to bring something and you tell your closest friends exactly what to bring you will have less work, spend less money, and still have a great party with great food!

I try to stock up on good party snacks when I find a sale, so when I go to have a party, I don’t have to worry about not finding good deals on the things I need.

My idea of throwing a perfect party, having a little something for everyone. I have some friends who have allergies, I want to have something for them. All kinds of soda / drinks, chips, etc. I don’t want people leaving my house hungry.

A GOOD WAY TO THROW A TRIPLE A PARTY ON A BUDGET…GO TO SAM’S! THERE ARE A LOT OF CATERERS THAT BUY SOME OF THEIR “SECRET” RECIPES SUCH AS MINI QUICHE, HOT WINGS, LITTLE SMOKIES, LARGE SANDWICHES (JUST ADD YOUR OWN DRESSING), DIPS, ETC. AT SAM’S CLUB.

When we’re having a get together I usually make crock pot potato chowder — it’s affordable (just a bunch of potatoes, cream of chicken soup, cream cheese, and broth) and it’s VERY yummy!

I shop Dollar Tree for paper products, serve drinks that you have to pour vs. individual cans (tea, 3L soda, lemonade, etc.) and provide food that I have stockpiled like crackers, chips, hotdogs, etc. from sales the previous months (I’m always on the lookout for “party food” b/c we usually do not eat this type of junk food)

I make alot of sides with potatoes. There are alot of vaiations to them. Also very cheap. we usually have beef on hand since we buy a half or quarter every year. So it a win win!!

Our parties always consist of everyone bringing a dish. It works great…keeps the cost down and then everyone is sure to get a variety of snacks!

Stockpile or get on sale stuff with coupons, go to the Dollar Tree for some things, use 2 liters of soda (we never use cans anymore), use the crockpot and cheap but good snacks like veggies, fruit, crackers, cheese, hot dogs, sausage and beef.
