Bargain shop! To throw a successful party on a budget, it is imperative to be flexible. You may want to fix appetizer A, but for half the cost and double the serving size, using coupons and in store discounts, you can fix appetizer B. Adjust your menu to the meals you find!

The best way I save at a party, is to watch this site for deals way before I have a party. If I keep a good stockpile, I could pretty much have a party any day! :D

I always ask my friends to bring a dish to our parties..
Also, I stock up on lots of goodies ahead of time so Im not spending alot of money at one time & using coupons I use even less.

Make your own Tortilla Chips! Just quarter small corn tortillas, fry them in oil, and sprinkle with salt. Walmart sells generic tortillas for about $1. One pack will make a ton! And it tastes just like the warm crispy ones in restaurants!

I have found that the Dollar Tree has great party supplies at prices that I can’t beat! I also like to ask everyone to bring 1 thing to the party to lower my expenditures. I love to do crock-pot dips, too, because I can make a HUGE batch that will feed everyone. One recipe that I use, and I am ALWAYS aksed to share, is below:

    Crockpot Velveeta Dip:
1-2 boxes of Velveeta cheese (depending on how many you want to serve)
1-2 packages of ground MAPLE breakfast Sausage *the kind in the tube (i.e. Jimmy Dean or whatever brand you like)
You can either use your favorite salsa or I like to use Paul Neuman’s salsa; the sweeter the better.
*Optional- you can also add kindey beans and/or chili powder to spice it up!

Warm up the crockpot. Cut the velveeta up into smaller squares and add to crockpot. Add the salsa and (if you choose to do so) kidney beans. Allow it to warm up and melt the cheese while you cook the sausage in a frying pan. Add cooked sausage to the mixture. Once all the cheese is melted you are ready to serve! Trust me, every last drop will be gone. Serve with chips; my personal preference is Tostito’s Scoops because the dip is hearty and you can get more inside the scoop-size chip. Enjoy! This is a very filling dip, too!
