$30 Kroger Gift Card Giveaway

August 28, 2009 by Tara Kuczykowski

Kroger Deals
To celebrate Mega Savings Event that runs at Kroger through September 2nd, General Mills and PepsiCo issued a challenge through My Blog Spark to see just how much the Deal Seeking Mom readers can get with $30.

Summer-2009-046-300x186

I wasn’t able to head to the store myself because of my last-minute foot surgery last week, but Alyssa from Kingdom First Mom got everything pictured above for $33.29. Check out her post for information on how she saved over $100!

Today, I’ve got another $30 gift card to give away to one lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader!
Be sure to read through the Mega Event Sale posts to get an idea of what’s on sale and how to stretch your dollars and then tell me what your favorite sale item is this week.

+++++++++++++++

Every reader has three methods available to enter this contest. Choose one each of any combination of method one, two, or three for up to a total of 3 entries!!!

Methods of entry:

1. Leave a comment. What is your favorite sale item from this week’s Mega Savings Event? What’s the best coupon matchup you see?

2. Use the Mr. Linky below to share a post on your blog that highlights the best deals and scenarios you’ve found throughout the Mega Savings Event! You’re welcome to link to your scenarios/matchups OR photos from your shopping trip, but only one link per person, please!

3. Send out the following tweet on Twitter. Be sure to come back and leave a separate comment letting me know you’ve done so.

Win a $30 Kroger gift card from @DealSeekingMom, General Mills & PepsiCo by sharing your best deals & steals. https://tinyurl.com/klsn87

Prize:
(1) $30 Kroger’s Gift Card

This giveaway ends at 11:59 p.m. EST on Saturday, 8/29. I’ll use Random.org to select the winning comment. Winner will be notified by email on and listed on my Giveaway Winners page. Good luck!

I loved so many of the items, but especially the Nature Valley granola bars-we love to have these to take with a Fiber One bar in our lunches every day and with the coupon out (.70c on 2 in our area) AND the buy 5 boxes, get $3.50 off your next order promo running, I couldn’t ask for a better bargain on them!

I got to give the GoGurt a try with this promotion and really like them. Mostly I enjoy the Nature Valley granola bars, which worked well with the .70 on 2 coupon.

We love the Fiber One bars. I send them for snacks to school with the kiddos. So these would be the best matchup for me. 1.99 minus 40 cent coupon doubled =1.19. GREAT DEAL!!

My favorite item of the Mega Event at Dillons (our Kroger store) is SoBe. My best matchup is for the SoBe as well – since I have 4 of the B1G1 coupons for them. My husband loves these and I get them on these deals as much as I can!

The Betty Crocker Fruit Gushers get my vote. With the catalina and coupons it’s a great deal, and they’re easy snacks for the boys and me!

    My favorite deal was this:

Buy 2 velveeta cup mac and cheese.. use bogo coupon paying
1.29 for both. Then you get a 1.00 catalina to use. Since
I shop at a Super Kroger that doubles up to a buck, I used the
1.00 coupon which would double on these items:

3/hamburger helpers (.17 ea. after mfg)
3 stacy chips (.01 cent money maker)
1 GM Honey nut cheerios (less .55 printable coupon. Free.)
3 quaker bars less 1.00 mfg FREE again.
Herbal Essence 2.99 used 1.00 mfg and free styler making it .99 for both.
Macaroni Grill (less 1.00 mfg) .99 after doule coupon
    Less 1.00 double cat .

OOP for all above including the Velveeta cups: 2.30
    I loved it all!!!

My favorite mega event item is the G M cereal. Paired with several catalina coupons I’ve received lately, these turn out to be around or less than $1 / box!

My favorite deal is probably yogurt using different amount of coupons I have bought them for little as .12 @. I have been getting the drinks to pepsi and diet coke when they have the large ones for .49 @. I buy 10 for $10 and they credit me $5, only paying .49 @. Yeah I also tried their .78 wheat bread this week and it is good and fresh!
