To celebrate Mega Savings Event that runs at Kroger through September 2nd, General Mills and PepsiCo issued a challenge through My Blog Spark to see just how much the Deal Seeking Mom readers can get with $30.

I wasn’t able to head to the store myself because of my last-minute foot surgery last week, but Alyssa from Kingdom First Mom got everything pictured above for $33.29. Check out her post for information on how she saved over $100!

    I would say the Pillsbury refrigerated items are our favorite. They are a good side item, great to make homemade dishes like Beef Cups, etc. They are also a great price, combined with this sale and all of the recent Sunday paper coupons…makes for very cheap!

    My favorite items from the Mega sale event are the things to make meals with like the hamburger helper, betty crocker potatoes, the biscuits and the vegetables that are all on sale, the cookies are good too though!

    My favorite item on sale is the Cascadian Farm cereal. It really is a great price for organic cereal, especially with a $1 off coupon!

    The cereal. The kix is free after coupons and instant savings and we go though cereal so fast!

    It’s hard to pick one item as my favorite. I think the Nature valley clusters would be my pick. I had never tried them and they taste great……yummy snack.

    My husband was thrilled with the Warm Delights. I only buy them if they are super cheap and they definitely were with the coupons and ecoupons.

    I love the Pillsbury rolls: crescent, cinnamon, and Grands biscuits!! I stocked up big time! I think those were really great deals… so was the Yoplait Fiber One 4-pack yogurts!!
