To celebrate Mega Savings Event that runs at Kroger through September 2nd, General Mills and PepsiCo issued a challenge through My Blog Spark to see just how much the Deal Seeking Mom readers can get with $30.

I wasn’t able to head to the store myself because of my last-minute foot surgery last week, but Alyssa from Kingdom First Mom got everything pictured above for $33.29. Check out her post for information on how she saved over $100!

    My favorite sale item from this week’s Mega Savings Event is the Naked juice. My son drinks it since he is not a big eater, so we supplement with some of the Naked “Blue Machine” each morning. (Has most of your daily vitamins in it) These are normally around $2.99 or more each. With the Mega sale plus $1 off printable coupon I can get them for only $0.99 each!!! This is a major savings for an item that truly helps keep our little boy healthy! :)

    I have to agree with Dora, I think that the best deals are on cereals. I got really good price on Cheerios , especially pairing Mega Savings event prices with the coupons.

    I am loving the Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks. I don’t usually buy them, so my kids LOVE them. The best part is the catalina deal–buy 5, get $3.50 back for next time…AND some of the packages have those Cash Cards in them…I’ve purchase 10 boxes, 7 of them had the possibility of Cash Cards…all did! So $35 back in cash cards! WOW!

    I absolutey LOVED the Warm Delights by Betty Crocker! They are soooo yummy and were only a few cents after coupons and ecoupons! I also like the free Nature Valley Nut Clusters!

    Hamburger Helper was my favorite. Cheeseburger Macaroni was .49 after the promotion, I had .75/3 coupons, so I actually got 3 boxes for .72 plus tax.

    Pillsbury items…the biscuits are versatile, from making cinnamon rolls (semi-homemade) to having as an extra, quick side item for breakfast or dinner.

    My husband just started eating the Toaster Strudel while I was out of town last week, so now he’s putting it on my grocery list. I was pleased to see that it’s such a good deal right now! That’s my favorite deal.

    My favorite deal is the Hamburger Helper. I’m ashamed to say that we eat one about once a week (because I know they’re not super healthy), but with my husband in school all day, I usually need quick/easy dinners.
