To celebrate Mega Savings Event that runs at Kroger through September 2nd, General Mills and PepsiCo issued a challenge through My Blog Spark to see just how much the Deal Seeking Mom readers can get with $30.

I wasn't able to head to the store myself because of my last-minute foot surgery last week, but Alyssa from Kingdom First Mom got everything pictured above for $33.29. Check out her post for information on how she saved over $100!
Today, I've got another $30 gift card to give away to one lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader! Be sure to read through the Mega Event Sale posts to get an idea of what's on sale and how to stretch your dollars and then tell me what your favorite sale item is this week.

My favorite deal is the healthy hamburger helper. After discount it is .47 cents!!!! :) Ya Hoo!!!!!!
I am loving the cheap Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks! I really stock up for us & our school! Seriously, you can buy over a dozen boxes for the same price of one regularly priced box.
Here's the scenario from my Kroger Matchups.
BUY 5 BOXES OF FRUIT SNACKS & USE 5 OF THE $.40/1 COUPONS
5 x $1.68 = $8.40 then minus $.40/1 Q’s doubled to $.80/1 x 5 = $4.00 off
Pay $4.40 out of pocket and get back $3.50 catalina back for your next order
So, you’ve paid $.18 per box of fruit snacks. Can you believe that?!
*Tip: You need to do this w/only 5 boxes & have 5 other Mega items to get the savings!
I posted my <a href="http://www.couponmommie.com/2009/08/kroger-weekly-matchups-816-822.html"Kroger Matchups in the Mr. Linky.
OOps, I messed up my last comment. Here's the link to my Kroger Matchups in the MrLinky.
Now, for the 3rd comment:
I tweeted about this too @CouponMommie.
What kid doesn't love the gummy snacks in their lunch ? Buy them while they're hot!
My favorite is probably the Betty Crocker fruit snacks because we go through TONS of those with school lunches and everything. The best coupon match up I see is the SoBe Life Water B1G1, which makes that a $$ maker! Thanks for another awesome giveaway!
Any time I can get cheap cereal or fruit snacks I am happy! thanks for the giveaway!
I love krogers milk value and there produce.
I am most excited about the Betty Crocker Brownie mix. Yummmmm!
Favorite item is Sobe Lifewater. Use BOGO coupon and get them free.
Fruit snacks are a big hit over here.

My favorite this week is probably the Fiber One bars. Even though I have gotten them a little cheaper before, I was almost out and they are a yummy way to help me get that fiber in my diet!
We love Sobe life water. On sale at our store for 88 cents. I used the BOGO coupon to get these free!
I would purchase the sale items on breakfast foods to stock up. We have had family illness here and health care costs along with food costs have been tight - $30 goes a long way at Kroger with their sales - hope I win one!
Thanks for the opportunity!
I have been super excited about this sale since I read it rumored on AFC. So I've been planning. So far I've been able to get 40 sobe lifewaters for 3.97! I was able to come across an abundance of B1G1 cpns and paired that with the b10g5 deal and score sweetly!
I like the old el paso items because I needed refried beans. With an ecoupon it made for a great deal. Also liked the granola bars and fruit snacks. Thanks!
I love the chex mix bars!! With the 60/1 printable coupon it maked them reallllly cheap!!! MMMM
Fruit Snacks are at the top of my list!
I love to get the cheap cereal (my kids love Fruity Cheerios) and NV Granola Bars. If I pair the Granola bars with the Mega Event, coupons and the catalina back for my next purchase... I have enough granola bars to last the school year :)
Several great match ups. Using shortcuts to add to the savings, I think the brownies are a great buy.
The fruit snack matchups listed are great and my kids love them. I'm new to all of this, so I really appreciate all the help I can get.
Last week I spent $77 at the Mega Sales Event as saved $177. I love coupons!
I am excited about the refried beans being so cheap! Taco night here we come! :)
My favorite sale item is the toaster strudel. We really love those at my house.
I have many favorite sale items from this week...Betty Crocker cookie mixes, Betty Crocker Brownie mixes, Cereal, Pillsbury Toaster Strudels, Fiber One Chewy bars, and the list goes on and on! GREAT deals this week! $30 could go a LONG way with this sale!
My favorite is the Nature Valley Nut Clusters $1.99 after you buy 1o items. I had (2) each of $1/1 IP and $1/1 ecoupons so I got 2 bags for free! I don't normally buy that stuff because it is too expensive, but I can handle free. :)
I love SOBE Lifewater 0. THey have great flavors and with the couplns they were free.
My favorite was the pepsi sodas and the hamburger helpers. Kroger has the best sales.
Our family is really excited about the refried beans and fruit snacks. It would depend on which family member you asked.
The hamburger helper is a great deal! Quick, fast and yummy!
Stacy's pita chips - on sale for 2.49, 1.99 after the Mega Savings event discount. I had a printable coupon for $1 off 1, and my Kroger doubles up to a $1 - so they were free! (Plus, I found some bags that include 33% more for free!)
Definitely the BC Fruit Snacks! I'm lucky that my Kroger will double coupons up to .50 (YAY for those of you that get better than that, but I will take what I can get), so that makes these a great deal! The shelves were empty last time I was there, so I followed a guy moving them from a different area of the store so I could stock up....LOL...Honest, Mr., I'm not stalking you for your fruit snacks.
Bought 10 Gatorades for free. Got my discount due to buying 10 and used previous reward cash receipts.
I would use the gift certificate to stock up on baby diapers. My first grandchild is due March 22, 2010.
I love buying the brownie and cookie mixes when they match up with a sale and coupon. The sugar cookie mix is a fun activity with my kids.
Cereal!!!!
Brownie Mixes
I love Kroger!
Loved the old elpaso. Used e coupon, man coupon, and peelie on box for free taco seasoning!!
endsleyfamily5@gmail.com
BC cookie and brownie mixes are my favorite.
Fruit Snacks had to be my favorite deal. I was able to get them Free after cat. deal!
Kroger Mega 10 saved me from having 2 spend $$$ (I don't think I could actually spend $30 at Kroger lately):
1 box Total Cereal
1 box Cocoa Puffs Cereal
1 Box Trix Cereal
1 Package Yo-Plus Yogurt
1 Yoplait Fiber-One Yogurt
1 Toaster Scrambles Cheese, Egg and Bacon
1 Betty Crocker Warm Delights
1 Roasted Cashew Nature Valley Nut Clusters
2 Pillsbury Grands Biscuits
1 LB Bananas
1/2 LB Roma Tomato
1 Zyrtec 5-pack (childrens clearance for $3.89, used $3/1 PDF Q, adult dose is the equivalent of 2 kids doses)
OOP The store owed me 0.15 so the kind male clerk zeroed out the total (and he laughed like he was glad for me LOL, love those young male clerks!)
Found Qs for $9 free chicken and $3 free produce
Found $0.38 cents change someone forgot from a previous transaction (love those abandoned change cups!)
I WILL be going back to repeat this transaction to supplement the stockpile we got from the $275.00 in groceries I got for $10. in the Kroger super double Qs ~2 weeks ago
Made $12.38!!! Yipee !!!
I tweeted about the giveaway!
I stock up on the BC cookie mixes. Use the 40 cpn to save 80 on each one. Great to have on hand for after school snacks or just even a quick, easy snack. Also, use the cpns for the Micro Magic treats. Easy, quick dessert in a minute.
Dillons is my main grocery store so I would love to get this gift card!
The free amp is my favorite!!!
My favorite matchup this week were the Fiberone yogurts. I love the Key Lime Pie ones!
