    We use taxact.com and it’s free to file your federal but I pay a few dollars to also have my state filed (I’m in IL). Still waiting for a W2 before I can begin our taxes.

    We always prepare our own taxes (and my mother-in-laws) using the free Turbo Tax version, but I have been toying with the idea of upgrading. Perfect timing! We have started gathering up everything we need, just waiting on a few things.

    My husband prepares them using Turbo Tax and then we efile them which seems to be a lot quicker than mailing them in.

    I try to do them online through TurboTax. Since my daughter was just born this past November, I will be doing my taxes with my right hand while feeding her with my left hand!!! Something only a Mom can do!!!!!
