Win-It Wednesday: The Couponizer (5 Winners!)

June 16, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting 24-hour giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!

I’m always looking for new and improved ways to organize my coupons, so I was excited when Amy Bergin, creator of The Couponizer, asked if I’d like to test drive one. The first thing I noticed about The Couponizer is that it comes with everything a beginning coupon user needs: spiral-bound coupon booklet with coupon pockets, coupon-sorting pad, shopping list, savings tracker, scissors, and a handy clear plastic pouch to store it all. This is a fantastic way to get comfortable with using coupons and learning what works for you as far as sorting and storing them.

Now I’ve mentioned in the past that I use the file-by-insert method, so you might wonder how a product like this could work for me. As it turns out, it’s actually the perfect supplement to my current method.

I’ve always had a hard time organizing my printable coupons and other loose coupons that I receive in the mail. The Couponizer is great for sorting these coupons that I have a tendency to forget about, and it also has pockets for my store loyalty cards, as well as folders for storing coupons I plan to use in a given shopping trip. There’s also a folder for coupons to use at checkout, so you can move them over when you actually place the item in your cart, and a folder to store expiring coupons so you can make sure they’re used in a given month.

Five lucky Deal Seeking Mom readers will each win a Couponizer!

Through 7/31 you can get $1 off any order at The Couponizer. Just enter coupon code SUMMER10 at checkout!

To enter, tell me how you store and keep track of all your coupons. Do you have a binder, a coupon wallet, a bag?

+++++++++++++++

I keep my coupons in a notebook with clear photo sleeves. Each section holds a different category of coupons (soap/body wash, frozen foods, dairy, paper goods, etc). Within the section, they are organized by expiration date. So far, this has worked out fairly well because if I don’t have a certain coupon set aside before I go shopping, I can quickly flip to see if I have one in the notebook.

I store my coupons in a binder. I am looking for something smaller to take into the stores with me and this would be perfect.

I just bought a little coupon wallet after ready numerous blogs on couponing. I used to use a box and had no organization whatsoever. I love the coupon wallet, unlike the box I used to have, the wallet fits in my purse so it’s easy to take with me!

I converted an old storage case into a filing system with two rows, holding 4×6 dividers. I tried the binder system, but quickly outgrew it.

    Hi,
I am currently using a (VERY) overstuffed accordian file and could really use a couponizer! I organize by type of product – health & beauty, cooking ingredients, baking ingredients, baby products, etc. I also keep separate file folders for store coupons, mail-in rebates, and coupon policies (which I thank you for posting since they have helped me in a number of situations)!

i use a mini photo album that was collecting dust at the house right now, until i can buy a binder with clear page protectors. i have so many categories for coupons, a little hard work on sunday works wonders on my grocery bill.

I use an accordian file but it does not seem large enough to hold all of my coupons. I think I have outgrown this system now that I am more seriously trying to save with coupons.

I use a large wallet to store my coupons in, this would be so much better! thanks for the chance.

My coupons are in a small coupon wallet that is about 10 years old and falling apart!

I have a coupon wallet. I organize by brand name. I love my coupons. I try to sort through them prior to shopping. That way I have an idea of what I need to get before I get to the store.

  28. Jill

    June 16, 2010 at 8:39 am

I keep my coupons paper clipped. I need a better way.

  29. Christi

    June 16, 2010 at 8:39 am

I also leave my inserts whole except for coupons I know I will use. I use an expandable coupon file wallet but the elastic is about to break!

i keep my coupons in a large binder – i 3 hole punch large manilla envelopes to keep the couons in. it is large, bulky but it works and i haven’t seen anything smaller that can hold my large number of coupons.
