Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting 24-hour giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!

I’m always looking for new and improved ways to organize my coupons, so I was excited when Amy Bergin, creator of The Couponizer, asked if I’d like to test drive one. The first thing I noticed about The Couponizer is that it comes with everything a beginning coupon user needs: spiral-bound coupon booklet with coupon pockets, coupon-sorting pad, shopping list, savings tracker, scissors, and a handy clear plastic pouch to store it all. This is a fantastic way to get comfortable with using coupons and learning what works for you as far as sorting and storing them.
Now I’ve mentioned in the past that I use the file-by-insert method, so you might wonder how a product like this could work for me. As it turns out, it’s actually the perfect supplement to my current method.
I’ve always had a hard time organizing my printable coupons and other loose coupons that I receive in the mail. The Couponizer is great for sorting these coupons that I have a tendency to forget about, and it also has pockets for my store loyalty cards, as well as folders for storing coupons I plan to use in a given shopping trip. There’s also a folder for coupons to use at checkout, so you can move them over when you actually place the item in your cart, and a folder to store expiring coupons so you can make sure they’re used in a given month.

I use file folders that I just stick in my regular filing cabinet on Sundays when I get the paper. Each file folders is labeled with the date of the insert so I know which is which. Then I use an online database to search for coupons I need, so I only clip the coupons I need as I need them. It’s a huge timesaver! Loose coupons I keep in a little accordian file that I carry around with me in my purse.

I store all my coupons in a plastic, green coupon envelope that my sister gave me this week. I’m just now moving out on my own, and I’ve never shopped with coupons before, to be honest! I’m kinda excited, because I’ve been reading your blog, among others, and cutting coupons for a week, and now I’m gonna go shopping with them today!!!

I have a small expandable clutch that i got at Target for $1. This is where i keep my coupons for a shopping trip. My other coupons are filed in a shoebox at home. lol. I know, sad but true.

I store my coupons in a check sorter that has 13 compartments. I need everything at my fingertips because I’m always making quick shopping trips, so I file my coupons alphabetically. Having coupons filed by categories didn’t work for me, I found I was creating too many categories. So, it’s easier for me to look under K for Kelloggs cereals, than to have one category of cereal. It takes more work, but when I’m in the heat of the shopping “battle,” I can quickly get my Q’s!

I only clip the coupons I absolutely know I will use on my favorite products. I keep all other coupons in their original form (Sunday inserts, mailers, etc) in an accordion file labeled by month. Since all the deal Websites reference the location of the coupon, I find it and clip it if I need it.

I store my coupons in a binder…but I really need a new system!

I am very disorganized with my coupons. I have a binder for clipped coupons and a huge pile of inserts. I also get frustrated because I don’t have a good way to track my savings. I am hoping to get a system that works. This looks great.

I just recently started actually using coupons. Right now I have a Ziploc plastic container that I put them in at home and carry them in an envelope when I leave. It’s lame and I hate it. What I would LOVE is this cute little organizer you pictured. :)

I have tried several methods, the one I find that works best for me is to clip the ones I know for sure I will use then file the inserts whole in a file cabinet. I find it makes it easier to locate coupons that I would not usually use.

I currently use a binder to organize my coupons. I would love to win this!!!

I just started couponing this week. I am doing the method that was taught to me in a couponing class given at my church last week: Baseball card inserts. I have no idea what is going to work for me. Currently I am feeling OVERWHELMED!!
Jamie
I have a coupon organizer sort of, it is very lame and this one would be much nicer.

I am new to couponin. Actually, I’ve tried it for year, but always ended up with a bunch of coupons that I never used. Now, I’m serious about getting this down to a science. I’ve been trying to find a decent coupon holder instead of using my regular old envelop (must to the annoyance of those shopping with me). So there’s my comment. :-)

Hi I just joined and so far can’t get enough of this website!! I use a coupon wallet I bought at walmart.

I keep a very large 3 ring binder with page protectors. Each Sunday when I get coupons, I write the date on the front page of the coupon insert – and insert the ENTIRE packet into a page saver. Then I have 3 hole plastic folders (the cheap 2 pocket folders) that separate all the SS from RP from P&G – then inside the folders, I place the coupons that have been cut in one, all misc. baby coupons in another, and all printed coupons in another. Very easy to organize, but not so easy to take anywhere – as it is packed FULL. :)
