Win-It Wednesday: The Couponizer (5 Winners!)

June 16, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting 24-hour giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!

I’m always looking for new and improved ways to organize my coupons, so I was excited when Amy Bergin, creator of The Couponizer, asked if I’d like to test drive one. The first thing I noticed about The Couponizer is that it comes with everything a beginning coupon user needs: spiral-bound coupon booklet with coupon pockets, coupon-sorting pad, shopping list, savings tracker, scissors, and a handy clear plastic pouch to store it all. This is a fantastic way to get comfortable with using coupons and learning what works for you as far as sorting and storing them.

Now I’ve mentioned in the past that I use the file-by-insert method, so you might wonder how a product like this could work for me. As it turns out, it’s actually the perfect supplement to my current method.

I’ve always had a hard time organizing my printable coupons and other loose coupons that I receive in the mail. The Couponizer is great for sorting these coupons that I have a tendency to forget about, and it also has pockets for my store loyalty cards, as well as folders for storing coupons I plan to use in a given shopping trip. There’s also a folder for coupons to use at checkout, so you can move them over when you actually place the item in your cart, and a folder to store expiring coupons so you can make sure they’re used in a given month.

Five lucky Deal Seeking Mom readers will each win a Couponizer!

Through 7/31 you can get $1 off any order at The Couponizer. Just enter coupon code SUMMER10 at checkout!

To enter, tell me how you store and keep track of all your coupons. Do you have a binder, a coupon wallet, a bag?

I use a tiny pink expandafile for my coupons.. it gets tedious looking for them but I try to have the ones I know I will need out when I go to the store. I would love a better way to keep track of my savings :-)

I began couponing using the binder system, but I didn’t find it to be as convenient as I hoped it would be. Now, I keep an envelope in my purse with the coupons I know I’ll need. Having them in my purse guarantees I’ll always have the coupons with me when I’m at the store.

This storage system would be great though b/c it would allow me to organize my coupons but appears small enough to fit in my purse!

I am fairly new to couponing so I’m still trying to find the best way to organize. I use a three ring binder with clear baseball card holders. So far this works pretty well but I still need to refine it!

I use a binder, more acurately, it used to be a sticker binder for scrapbooking, but now….it’s become couponified!!!

I used to keep them in a large zip loc bag and just shuffle thru what i wanted before going to the grocery store. Now I have manilla envelopes with the name of the store on the outside and a sticky sheet on the front. I write the items I found coupon match ups for or the items to buy with everything inside, including the loyalty card. It’s worked so far but I need a better system.

I keep them in a file cabinet till I need to go to the store then I rummage through to find the ones I need to take.

Right now I use the file folder system, but am having the very same problem you do – those printables and “loose” coupons!

Currently, I keep my coupons in envelopes. This was my own mother’s technique. I’ve been wanting to covert to a binder. The couponizer would be great to have!

I keep my coupons in a big, lidded box, then put the ones I am using for a shopping trip in a small divided organizer that I can carry in my purse.

  18. Jaime

I store my coupons in baseball card sleeves within in a binder.

I purchased the $1 photo “brag” books in the checkout line one day. I put all my coupons in these little books! I can see them, they are water proof for those rainy trips to the store, and fit nicely in my purse and in the glovebox in the car!

I am new to couponing, I have all my coupons stuffed in a pencil bag:( I saw the couponizer on the Internet and thought it would be perfect, I just haven’t been able to get one.

I use a binder with photo sleeves, organized by category. It also has extra space to hold uncut inserts, sissors, and coupons I want to use right away. It also has a shoulder strap to make transporting it with the kids a bit easier!

  27. Karen

    June 16, 2010 at 8:51 am

I do not have a way to store my coupons. They are just put in an envelople.

  28. Sarah

    June 16, 2010 at 8:51 am

I currently store my coupons in a 3 ring binder.

  29. Rosa Lee

    June 16, 2010 at 8:51 am

I file by insert. For loose coupons I use a zipper binder with a combination of baseball card pages and currency pages. I use peel off tabs as dividers so they are easy to change. I also subscribe to your On Demand emails.
