Win-It Wednesday: The Couponizer (5 Winners!)

June 16, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting 24-hour giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!

I’m always looking for new and improved ways to organize my coupons, so I was excited when Amy Bergin, creator of The Couponizer, asked if I’d like to test drive one. The first thing I noticed about The Couponizer is that it comes with everything a beginning coupon user needs: spiral-bound coupon booklet with coupon pockets, coupon-sorting pad, shopping list, savings tracker, scissors, and a handy clear plastic pouch to store it all. This is a fantastic way to get comfortable with using coupons and learning what works for you as far as sorting and storing them.

Now I’ve mentioned in the past that I use the file-by-insert method, so you might wonder how a product like this could work for me. As it turns out, it’s actually the perfect supplement to my current method.

I’ve always had a hard time organizing my printable coupons and other loose coupons that I receive in the mail. The Couponizer is great for sorting these coupons that I have a tendency to forget about, and it also has pockets for my store loyalty cards, as well as folders for storing coupons I plan to use in a given shopping trip. There’s also a folder for coupons to use at checkout, so you can move them over when you actually place the item in your cart, and a folder to store expiring coupons so you can make sure they’re used in a given month.

Five lucky Deal Seeking Mom readers will each win a Couponizer!

Through 7/31 you can get $1 off any order at The Couponizer. Just enter coupon code SUMMER10 at checkout!

To enter, tell me how you store and keep track of all your coupons. Do you have a binder, a coupon wallet, a bag?

I keep my coupons organized by products in a small folder that has 5 pockets. It’s fine for making a list and taking coupons out before I go shopping but not organized enough for doing it at the store!

I had to go buy an organizer at the container store just to keep track of rebates and coupons from your website! Love it! Couponizer sounds even more awesome!

PS I already subscribe to email too. :)

I am currently not happy with the organization of my coupons. I am putting them into manilla envelopes. That’s fine, but I forget about certain coupons since I can’t visually see them. I was originally putting my coupons into photo album inserts, but it literally fell apart as time when on. It was perfect for me, too! This giveaway made me very excited!

I like the little 13 compartment check organizers for the coupons I clip or print and a binder with sheet protectors for the inserts I keep.

I use a coupon wallet I got from a dollar store, but would REALLY love a better way to organize all my savings!

Right now the way that I organize my coupons is in manilla folders inside of a hanging file folder. I have them sorted by Red Plum, Smart Source, General Mills, Proctor & Gamble, and Online Coupons. It works for the most part since I follow Carrie Rocha’s Pocket Your Dollars website. She lists coupons based on RP, SS, GM, & PG. The online coupons is the hardest, and I need a way to figure that out. Hope I win the couponizer!!!

i have all my coupons in a ziploc baggie in my diaper bag/purse. I have 3 baggies actually…one for coupons, one for receipts, and another one for store ads/coupons I get in the mail (ie bed, bath, beyond; babiesRUs)…this organizer would be great for me! :-)

My coupon-keeping method keeps changing! I’ve done a 3-ring binder, a 5×7 card file annd currently a 13-pocket expandable file.

I currently use envelopes however I am looking for a new way to gather up my coupons. This seems like a great system.

  26. Leah

    June 16, 2010 at 8:27 am

I have tried several different ways to store my coupons. I have only been doing it for about months, I can’t believe I didn’t know how much you can save with coupons sooner. But my current method is long envelopes, with an accordion organizer for coupons I know I am going to use that trip. I have all my envelopes labled free, cold stuff, shampoo etc. but its hard to keep in all organized in my purse so this would be great!

I keep mine in a 3 ring binder with baseball card holders. I can easily flip thru to see which coupon I need when I am at the store if I hadn’t already went thru before I got there. I always take it with me wherever I go just incase I run into an awesome sale. It is quite bulky though. I wish it had straps to carry on my shoulder. I have a 19 month old, and trying to carry her, diaper bag, purse and binder is definately a juggling act. But is sooooo worth saving money!!! But just wish my coupons were slightly compact, just don’t know how to do that:( But on a brighter note, I love couponing!!!!!!!! 8-)
