Win-It Wednesday: The Couponizer (5 Winners!)

June 16, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting 24-hour giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!

I’m always looking for new and improved ways to organize my coupons, so I was excited when Amy Bergin, creator of The Couponizer, asked if I’d like to test drive one. The first thing I noticed about The Couponizer is that it comes with everything a beginning coupon user needs: spiral-bound coupon booklet with coupon pockets, coupon-sorting pad, shopping list, savings tracker, scissors, and a handy clear plastic pouch to store it all. This is a fantastic way to get comfortable with using coupons and learning what works for you as far as sorting and storing them.

Now I’ve mentioned in the past that I use the file-by-insert method, so you might wonder how a product like this could work for me. As it turns out, it’s actually the perfect supplement to my current method.

I’ve always had a hard time organizing my printable coupons and other loose coupons that I receive in the mail. The Couponizer is great for sorting these coupons that I have a tendency to forget about, and it also has pockets for my store loyalty cards, as well as folders for storing coupons I plan to use in a given shopping trip. There’s also a folder for coupons to use at checkout, so you can move them over when you actually place the item in your cart, and a folder to store expiring coupons so you can make sure they’re used in a given month.

Five lucky Deal Seeking Mom readers will each win a Couponizer!

Through 7/31 you can get $1 off any order at The Couponizer. Just enter coupon code SUMMER10 at checkout!

To enter, tell me how you store and keep track of all your coupons. Do you have a binder, a coupon wallet, a bag?

Right now all my coupons are paperclipped and in my purse. Usually when I go shopping I make a list and mark which items I have a coupon for. That way it is easier for me to know what items I need to pull out a coupon for but I lose coupons in the middle of the store :(

I use 3 small organizers but I am finding now that I am becoming a “serious couponer” that it is not working so well. I am resorting to the file by insert way this week. I would love to win this organizer. Thanks for posting.

I’ve been using a small accordion pocket organizer and it drives me crazy. It’s so hard to find what you want. Through no fault of my own of course, I just need to learn how to practically organize my coupons. This gadget sounds like a little piece of heaven. Would love one!!! :)

I use a binder system. Lots of categories. Has a divider pocket in the front for coupons used and store ad. Getting bulky so would like a better system. This would be great.

right now I am using a large coupon wallet kind of thing. Its okay. lots of dividers so i can make my own categories – i can find what i am looking for more easily while in the store.

I just started a coupon binder last night thanks to your link that I found when I was doing the cupcake search :-) Before that I had a plastic check expandable that kept them sorted alphabetically… it was a pain and my husband was so happy when I found the binder link yesterday.

I have a magnetic bin on the side of my refrigerator that is so OVER stuffed with coupons that when I look for what I want to buy they are out of date. I NEED organization in my life!!

I store them in a little rubber maid container that has small drawers. Then when it is time to go to the grocery they just go in my purse. It’s not the best way because sometimes I forget a few in my purse. This looks like a great way to organize them.

To store my coupons I have numerous binders – a big one for my current coupons, one for Cub expired ones, one for Target, and one for retail stores. I keep them all in 1 cute bag so I can grab it whenever I head out the door.

I am so unorganized right now. I have a binder with baseball card inserts but I got so far behind with keeping up on it that now everything is expired. I keep telling myself that I will redo it but I have not gotten the inspiration yet. So for now my coupons are in an envelope, and tucked in the P&G boupon book that we got as a rebate. I have looked at the Couponizer but it hasn’t been in the budget. I would love to win one. How nice it would be!

OH! I store my coupons in my wallet!! My coupons books always fall apart after about a month of use and I have a huge wallet so I keep them in there and it’s a real pain!
