Win-It Wednesday: The Couponizer (5 Winners!)

June 16, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting 24-hour giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!

I’m always looking for new and improved ways to organize my coupons, so I was excited when Amy Bergin, creator of The Couponizer, asked if I’d like to test drive one. The first thing I noticed about The Couponizer is that it comes with everything a beginning coupon user needs: spiral-bound coupon booklet with coupon pockets, coupon-sorting pad, shopping list, savings tracker, scissors, and a handy clear plastic pouch to store it all. This is a fantastic way to get comfortable with using coupons and learning what works for you as far as sorting and storing them.

Now I’ve mentioned in the past that I use the file-by-insert method, so you might wonder how a product like this could work for me. As it turns out, it’s actually the perfect supplement to my current method.

I’ve always had a hard time organizing my printable coupons and other loose coupons that I receive in the mail. The Couponizer is great for sorting these coupons that I have a tendency to forget about, and it also has pockets for my store loyalty cards, as well as folders for storing coupons I plan to use in a given shopping trip. There’s also a folder for coupons to use at checkout, so you can move them over when you actually place the item in your cart, and a folder to store expiring coupons so you can make sure they’re used in a given month.

Five lucky Deal Seeking Mom readers will each win a Couponizer!

Through 7/31 you can get $1 off any order at The Couponizer. Just enter coupon code SUMMER10 at checkout!

To enter, tell me how you store and keep track of all your coupons. Do you have a binder, a coupon wallet, a bag?

I just got into couponing so right now I made an excel spreadsheet of what coupons I have and then I just have them in a big bundle in my bag with me when I go shopping. I am probably not doing the best things yet but I am trying to see what works. Love this little product though! Would love to win it!

I have a plastic pouch but I find that my coupons get lost in there. I have tried the accordian holders before but I find that they take too long to organize. I would love a better system!

I use the file by insert method. I have 2 small children and just don’t have the time to clip each coupon. I also buy 4 papers on Sunday so that would be a lot of clipping!

I use a smaller, purse-size accordian folder that was a freebie from our local newspaper. This would be a great upgrade!!

I put all my coupons in a plastic pouch without any categories. I always have a hard time finding what coupons I have and have to always pull out all the coupons when I know I have and need it. I hope I can organize my coupons better with The Couponizer.

I have a small binder of sorts. It separates them by categories.

In a tiny accordian file. It works.

I have a accordian file, but would like to find a better system.

I organize in a binder with baseball card holders

I have tried all differant things, the envolopes the recipe box the zipped up binder..I liked the binder but wow it took way to long. I get as many inserts as I can every weekend. ok so this it what i always go back to. I have two boxs that snap over lock so i know the lip is not going to come off. THen at the $1 store I found these recipe folders. So you can add the somrthing on the tab and it ends up in a a folder like a file so your coupons do not fall to the bottom or under. abd it is a big as a index cards! I have one for food and one for non food. Not only does this save on time but it fits right in the seat on your cart side by side and I have a file for everything and everybrand it works great.

My day-to-day coupons are in a index file box (I dread the day it gets dumped!) and my weekly inserts are in an accordian sorted by distribution date.

My coupons are stored in a little plastic file folder that I can throw in my bag. Not the best method, but it’s better than nothing.

I use a small accordion file separating the coupons into categories and by expiration date. It works, but is a little cumbersome.
