Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting 24-hour giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!

I’m always looking for new and improved ways to organize my coupons, so I was excited when Amy Bergin, creator of The Couponizer, asked if I’d like to test drive one. The first thing I noticed about The Couponizer is that it comes with everything a beginning coupon user needs: spiral-bound coupon booklet with coupon pockets, coupon-sorting pad, shopping list, savings tracker, scissors, and a handy clear plastic pouch to store it all. This is a fantastic way to get comfortable with using coupons and learning what works for you as far as sorting and storing them.
Now I’ve mentioned in the past that I use the file-by-insert method, so you might wonder how a product like this could work for me. As it turns out, it’s actually the perfect supplement to my current method.
I’ve always had a hard time organizing my printable coupons and other loose coupons that I receive in the mail. The Couponizer is great for sorting these coupons that I have a tendency to forget about, and it also has pockets for my store loyalty cards, as well as folders for storing coupons I plan to use in a given shopping trip. There’s also a folder for coupons to use at checkout, so you can move them over when you actually place the item in your cart, and a folder to store expiring coupons so you can make sure they’re used in a given month.

I currently use a plastic shoe box to store my coupons. I was using a recipe box but my coupons outgrew that :)
Martha
I file by insert and also have a separate coupon organizer for loose coupons. I’m still looking for something that works a bit better.

I use a accordian file. I made it myself out of soft suede from a old jacket and lined it with soft vinyl. I can fit it into my handbag. If I don’t have time to file my new coupons, I put them all in a section in the front. My file is divided into 12 catagories and I file by expiration date, with the soonest to expire in the front.

I am still using the pre-historic envelope method and standing on an unused aisle at the store to find my coupons. After the last trip my daughter to me that I need to get one of those “coupon thingies” for my coupos – it would sae me lots of time” according to her! She is right though – time is precious and it would help me to become organized. Hope to win one to see!!!

I have small purse-size accordian folder, but this is something I could really use. It’s not easy shopping with two toddlers and lots of coupons falling out while your checking to see if you have a coupon to match the deal.

I am not good at organizing currently I have a binder, but I have about 6 inserts not cut waiting in another folder

I have an accordian thing I got for a $1 at Target that I keep coupons in, but then I also keep and date newspaper coupons in a folder, and last but not least put all of that in a coupon bag w/ scissors and my All You issues. I’ve tried a couple different ways, but this is how I’m trying to do it currently. A lot of the references in posts tell you the date of the insert, so I used to cut them all up, but now I try to wait. I still think it will take time and I can definitely find a better system.

I use a 3 ring binder with baseball card protector pages that I have arranged into categories with tabbed dividers based on how my regular grocery store is set up. I also have a zipper pouch in it for lists, pens, calculator etc.
I also put a cd paper holder glued in the front to slide the coupons I’ll be handing to the cashier in. Works great at the store, getting the coupons organized into it is sometimes a chore.
Stacy
I use a binder to store coupon but each Sunday or Saturday I put coupons individual baggies for each store. I used a sharpie and write the name of the store on each baggie and reuse each week. Example When I print out a coupon that I will use at target I just put it in the target baggie. I carry these with me whereever I go. I have baggies for CVS. Walgreens, Krogers, Walmart, Target, etc.
