Win-It Wednesday: The Couponizer (5 Winners!)

June 16, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting 24-hour giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!

I’m always looking for new and improved ways to organize my coupons, so I was excited when Amy Bergin, creator of The Couponizer, asked if I’d like to test drive one. The first thing I noticed about The Couponizer is that it comes with everything a beginning coupon user needs: spiral-bound coupon booklet with coupon pockets, coupon-sorting pad, shopping list, savings tracker, scissors, and a handy clear plastic pouch to store it all. This is a fantastic way to get comfortable with using coupons and learning what works for you as far as sorting and storing them.

Now I’ve mentioned in the past that I use the file-by-insert method, so you might wonder how a product like this could work for me. As it turns out, it’s actually the perfect supplement to my current method.

I’ve always had a hard time organizing my printable coupons and other loose coupons that I receive in the mail. The Couponizer is great for sorting these coupons that I have a tendency to forget about, and it also has pockets for my store loyalty cards, as well as folders for storing coupons I plan to use in a given shopping trip. There’s also a folder for coupons to use at checkout, so you can move them over when you actually place the item in your cart, and a folder to store expiring coupons so you can make sure they’re used in a given month.

Five lucky Deal Seeking Mom readers will each win a Couponizer!

Through 7/31 you can get $1 off any order at The Couponizer. Just enter coupon code SUMMER10 at checkout!

To enter, tell me how you store and keep track of all your coupons. Do you have a binder, a coupon wallet, a bag?

Every reader has four methods available to enter this contest. Choose one each of any combination of method one, two, three, or four for up to a total of 4 entries!!!

I have a ziploc bag that I store my coupons in. Before I go shopping I sort through the bag and seperate the ones I will be using. I really could use a better coupon organizer so I can keep track of what I have. Thanks.

I bought a coupon wallet (Target $1 bins) to keep coupons organized, however, there is not enough tabs and pockets to use. I would love something that would work better.

I use a typical little coupon file. I have the tabs labeled with categories, & within the categories, I put the coupons in order from date of expiration. Kind of a tedious task putting my new coupons in, but i know which coupons are expiring soon & theyre all pretty easy to find when i need them.

I store my coupons in a small store bought binder, but I lost mine and now I am storing them in a Ziploc bag. So this would be great for me.

I keep my coupons in an old wallet sized calendar cover in my wallet. They are a jumbled mess. I need something so that I can organize them!!

I store my coupons in folders by date and the already cut ones in an organizer with dividers. Hoping to switch it to a little box really soon! I always try to get more organized and haven’t found a method I love yet!

I use a zippered binder for my coupons. I put them all in baseball card holders and the pockets hold my extra inserts. The zipper prevents all my coupons from falling out – that is when I remember to zip it :)

I have two zippered, accordion style folders that I use. I like them because I can always have all my coupons with me when I go into a store so I never miss a deal on an unadvertised sale or clearance offer.

I use an enevelope, with all coupons sorted by the way most favorite store isles are setup. I have a paper clip with coupons expiring this month viewing those coupons before shopping. I keep all produce, frozen foods, vegs, spices, laundry supplies, and personal items in sections according to the product with the highest savings on top.

Always carry my envelope with me in my purse. Never know when an unexpected sale will pop up.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...
