Win-It Wednesday: The Couponizer (5 Winners!)

June 16, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting 24-hour giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!

I’m always looking for new and improved ways to organize my coupons, so I was excited when Amy Bergin, creator of The Couponizer, asked if I’d like to test drive one. The first thing I noticed about The Couponizer is that it comes with everything a beginning coupon user needs: spiral-bound coupon booklet with coupon pockets, coupon-sorting pad, shopping list, savings tracker, scissors, and a handy clear plastic pouch to store it all. This is a fantastic way to get comfortable with using coupons and learning what works for you as far as sorting and storing them.

Now I’ve mentioned in the past that I use the file-by-insert method, so you might wonder how a product like this could work for me. As it turns out, it’s actually the perfect supplement to my current method.

I’ve always had a hard time organizing my printable coupons and other loose coupons that I receive in the mail. The Couponizer is great for sorting these coupons that I have a tendency to forget about, and it also has pockets for my store loyalty cards, as well as folders for storing coupons I plan to use in a given shopping trip. There’s also a folder for coupons to use at checkout, so you can move them over when you actually place the item in your cart, and a folder to store expiring coupons so you can make sure they’re used in a given month.

Five lucky Deal Seeking Mom readers will each win a Couponizer!

Through 7/31 you can get $1 off any order at The Couponizer. Just enter coupon code SUMMER10 at checkout!

To enter, tell me how you store and keep track of all your coupons. Do you have a binder, a coupon wallet, a bag?

+++++++++++++++

    I use manila file folders to store coupons. Every Sunday I start a new one with that weekends coupons and write the date on it. When I’m looking for a coupon from SS 6/13, for example, I just pull out that file folder and cut it out

    I put all my coupons in a drawer in my kitchen, and then when I am going to the store I go through them and get the ones I plan to use and put them in a baggie. If I am going to stop at more than one store I put the Walmart and Target coupon policy in the middle of the bag and then put the coupons for another store on the opposite side.

    My coupons are in folders sorted by expiration, and then ones I know I will use are in a separate folder sorted by type. It doesn’t really work very well!

    I use a little coupon orginzer from target but am looking for a better way to organize cause my coupons are out of control (too many) for the organizer.

    I use a coupon binder and a little coupon organizer that I sort the coupons by store in so that whenever I find time to stop by the store I have them with me.

    I am by nature an organizer and always look to improve. I use a pampers wipe box. I have index cards with printed (my version) of category products and file coupons under that category. I place the most recent first and etc. Also I add new index cards when I start using new products.
    Some categories may be drugs, shampoo, laundry detergent, bleach and etc. This works for me.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
