Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting 24-hour giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!

Every year BILLIONS of drink pouches, yogurt containers, candy wrappers and more end up in dumpsters and landfills across America. TerraCycle’s mission is to recycle these items into affordable, eco-friendly products. They’re making “upcycling” trendy with their adorable backpacks, binders, and lunch boxes!
Want to get paid for your trash? Join one of their FREE Brigades and TerraCycle will pay you per piece for sending them your non-recyclable waste materials.
One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win a TerraCycle Prize Pack that includes the following:
- Capri Sun lunch box
- Billboard laptop case
- Honest Kids 3 ring binder
- Paper pens
- (2) Capri Sun pencil cases
- Capri Sun small tote
- Doritos backpack
- Circuit board coasters
- Circuit board picture frame

To enter, tell me how your family gets environmentally friendly. Do you recycle as much as possible? Have you given up paper towels and instead opted for good old-fashioned cloth?

Took an online “Green” quiz and was told that “you don’t make your own clothing out of Hemp, but you’re pretty close”….guess that says that I have done ok at making us a “green” household! We use reusable shopping bags, recycle dang near everything we can (and we DON’T have curbside recycling where I live…we have to take it to the center), we try to grow as much of our own food as possible (living in town), walk or ride bikes as much as possible, even make our own laundry detergent and weed killer with natural ingredients. Loyal subscribers to “ReadyMade” and Mother Earth News. And my kids don’t look any different than anyone else’s….

Grow a garden, use treadle sewing machines, hang the clothes on the line, sew our own clothes , go to garage sales, have garage sales, but really none of it for the fad of “going green”. These are things we always do.
