Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting 24-hour giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!

Every year BILLIONS of drink pouches, yogurt containers, candy wrappers and more end up in dumpsters and landfills across America. TerraCycle’s mission is to recycle these items into affordable, eco-friendly products. They’re making “upcycling” trendy with their adorable backpacks, binders, and lunch boxes!
Want to get paid for your trash? Join one of their FREE Brigades and TerraCycle will pay you per piece for sending them your non-recyclable waste materials.
One lucky Deal Seeking Mom reader will win a TerraCycle Prize Pack that includes the following:
- Capri Sun lunch box
- Billboard laptop case
- Honest Kids 3 ring binder
- Paper pens
- (2) Capri Sun pencil cases
- Capri Sun small tote
- Doritos backpack
- Circuit board coasters

We go green by recycling everything we possibly can. We use empty juice bottles to store homemade ice tea and iced coffee. Instead of water bottles we got a Brita Filter and have our own filtered water with the bottle waste. The easiest way we recycle is by using our green grocery bags at every store we shop.
Thanks for highlighting this company, we use a lot of the products listed on their site and would love to know that the packaging was truly being reused.

We recycle just about everything. Each week, we only put out one 13 gallon bag of trash. We use our own grocery bags at the stores & any of the plastic ones we do get, are used around the house in our smaller garbage cans. We have 5 recycle bins outside that our 4 yr old daughter loves to fill. When we recycle aluminum, she gets to keep the money. She even corrects her Dad when he “forgets” to recycle something.

Joined TerraCycle on FB. Looks interesting about all the things you can do to recycle/reuse. We try to do small things right now but would love to learn more!

We go green by
1. Recycling everything we can.
2. Reusing cereal and bread bags.
3. Having an organic garden with rain barrel.
4. Catching the water, in a bucket, that come out of the tap while we are trying for warm/hot water. This water is then used to water plants and flush toilets.
5. Breastfeeding!

I have made a lot of changes in my home to make my cleaning more environmentally/economically friendly:
I have switched from paper towels to inexpensive dish cloths that I buy 18 for $3 and use them all over the house! I also have a couple micro fiber dusting cloths.
For floor mopping I have a steamer that uses only tap water and a washable micro fiber pad.
I also make my own general purpose window/household cleaning solution with white vinegar/water/drop of dish soap. Vinegar is a natural anti-bacterial!

We recycle everything that we possibly can. I have also made all of my own cloth shopping bags, so we don’t use any more plastic. I wash and reuse aluminum foil when it’s safe to. I also haven’t bought new pants in over 4 years, which has to count for something :)

I am an RSS reader and a facebook fan.
My family recycles everything. In fact, we are the only ones in our neighborhood that fill (eek overfill) our recycling container and never fill our garbage can!
I’ve also finally gotten into the game of remembering to bring my reusable shopping totes into the store instead of coming home with millions of those plastic shopping bags.
Reusing isn’t only good for our land fills it’s good for my frugality!

We attempt to go Green in everything with do. We recycle, I bring reusable bags to the grocery store (Target provides incentive by paying you $.05/bag), I buy earth conscious product(s), husband takes the train to work instead of driving, and I am also cognizant of how we purchase our meat and dairy products. This may not seem green, and it may seem more animal cruelty conscious, but it’s really both. Lastly, I try to buy organic (where it is actually purposeful,) to support non-pesticide and locally grown farmers. :) Thanks for this giveaway! It’s an awesome package! This would help instill the same values in our children.

I follow you in my google RSS reader! Love it. ;)

I use cloth diapers and wipes. My baby’s bum is happy too! Line drying clothes and the diapers help too. We also use reusable rags and cleaning products such as baking soda, vinegar, and salt. Not only do these things help the environment, but it also helps us to save money!
