Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting 24-hour giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!
One of the most common questions I get about stockpiling is, “How do you manage your stockpile?” Frankly, this is something I still struggle with. My kitchen pantry is relatively small — certainly not large enough to house a stockpile that will sustain a family of seven. We have additional shelving, as well as an extra refrigerator and deep freezer in the garage, but I’ll admit that it’s difficult at best to keep tabs on everything.
So when Tiffany from Shelf Reliance asked if I’d be interested in trying one of their Cansolidator Pantry shelf units I jumped at the chance. Not only does it save space, but it also automatically rotates your stockpile, ensuring that products are used in the order of expiration. Furthermore, it alleviates the sometimes dangerous practice of stacking cans on top of each other. Have I ever told you about the time my husband dropped a can of peas on my bare pinky toe? Well, let’s just say it was not a pretty sight…
Now I just need to pick up a few more Cansolidator units to finish organizing. Luckily Tiffany has a great deal for us:
This week only, Tiffany is offering Deal Seeking Mom readers an exclusive 52% discount on the Cansolidator Pantry. Enter coupon code Save1 at checkout, which will bring the price per unit down to $21.49!

My biggest issue is no space so I am forced to cram it all into my cabinets below the counters! Very inconvenient and messy!

We lust after these shelf reliance shelves. We alsways have cans falling over and getting dented. Our pantry isn’t big enough for all of our food storage… (Mostly because there’s all kinds of other things stored in there.)

my biggest problem is to make sure we use the stockpile that expires first, it’s hard to figure out how to stack them so that I always have those ones closest to me to grab when needed

The most difficult thing for me is that my five children love to use my pantry as a “just throw it in there” room. Today I found blocks, crayons, a shoe and bubble bath. :D

I want to win SO bad! I have a hard time because I don’t have enough room in my small cabinet, and cans get lost in the back behind stuff. Another issue is sometimes my grocery store(s) stock different dates out of order of what is already at home. :(

I have trouble seeing what I have…Especially with stacking cans.

With kids around the hardest part is keeping everything straight!

Our pantry gets so mixed up when the boyfriend comes in and looks for something to eat! Even though there are only beans behind the front can of beans, it’s like he’s on a mission to find a magical can of something yummy that’s been hiding from his view every other time he’s shuffled the cans of beans around. Ahhh! I’d love one of these organizers!!!

The hardest part about keeping my pantry clean is keeping the lower shelves organized since my toddler can reach those shelves!

My biggest problem is not being able to see what in the back of the pantry. It would be helpful if the consumer knew the width, height, depth and can size and weight limitations of this storage device.

The hardest part about keeping my pantry clean is keeping all the different sized cans in order without them toppling out on me. Also have an issue with opened boxes of food.
Justin
Its easy to just put the new stuff right up front instead of rotating all of the stock. That and you have to continuously organize things as you buy new inventory.
