One of the most common questions I get about stockpiling is, “How do you manage your stockpile?” Frankly, this is something I still struggle with. My kitchen pantry is relatively small — certainly not large enough to house a stockpile that will sustain a family of seven. We have additional shelving, as well as an extra refrigerator and deep freezer in the garage, but I’ll admit that it’s difficult at best to keep tabs on everything.

    the hardest part of keeping the pantry clean is trying to keep my 15 month old out of it she loves to go and take everything off the shelves and throw it on the ground

    My toddler! She loves to play in there, and I never know what she is going to “rearrange” for me!

    For me, the hardest part is I don’t have enough space. My five person family lives in a less than 800′ cottage, and we only have two wall-mounted cabinets in our kitchen; definitely not enough space. I have set up a wire rack to keep a small stockpile on, and the kids knocking things to get to other things is definitely high on my list of things that make staying organized difficult.

    The hardest thing about keeping my pantry organized is the fact that no one ever puts stuff back where they found it. They grab something (like a box of fruit snack), grab the little bag out of the box and just shove the box back where ever they find a spot. Drives me nuts, I can’t ever find what I need, when I need it!

    The hardest part is finding the space to store everything and have it easily accessible instead of having to move a lot of items to get to that one thing you need.

    stacking cans and lots of boxes (cereals, crackers, etc.) that are not the same size cause pantry problems for me. add to that bags of chips, noodles, etc. and its just a pantry nightmare.

    We just moved into an old farm house & the basement is too damp for my stockpile….now I’m trying to figure out how to keep it in the kitchen without going insane…it’s still a work in process. Before my gripe was all the odd shaped cans & the fact that some could stack (tomatoes & canned tuna) & some wouldn’t (most fruit & Ro-tel tomatoes)

    The hardest part for me is having to take things out that are already organized to put new stuff behind them so the things that expire the soonest are in front. Love that this does it for you!

    The hardest part about keeping my pantry organized is the fact that it is relatively narrow, but really deep…it holds a lot, but everything is hidden. Getting some cans out of the way sure would help :)

    My pantry has so many cans and so little space. Cans are all over the place and my husband doesn’t put stuff back in the right spot. My two year old likes to take the broom and knock down his snacks. I need this so bad

    The hardest part for me is knowing what is in the pantry. I have to take all the stuff in front out just to see what’s in the back. It’s such a hassel.

    I LOVE your site! You are SOOO very helpful to a new mom trying to balance our TIGHT budget. I do subscribe to your emails and “like” you on facebook, but I am not a twitter person otherwise I would do that too! I have bragged about your site so much that I have gotten many other followers for you – which is great except when we are fighting over the deals at Walgreens or CVS! LOL!

    I would LOVE to win one of these units! How unbelievably wonderful it would be to actually SEE what I have in the pantry without unstacking and restacking! Oh and I can relate to the pinky toe incident! Yes mam – been there and done that! Sooo frustrating trying to find something in my pantry!
