Win-It Wednesday: OtterBox Custom Phone Case (3 Winners!)

February 17, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting several 24-hour giveaways throughout the day to give you plenty of chances to win!

Between me and my kids, cell phones have a short shelf life in our household. We’ve run them through the washing machine, pulled flip phones right in half, and I even dropped an iPhone in the toilet. (Yes, I cried.)

And that’s not even taking into consideration the daily wear and tear from randomly dropping them and sticky little fingers playing with them.

Luckily OtterBox makes a wide range of protective cases that fit just about any cell phone. These will protect your phone from bumps, drops, dust, and in some cases, even water!

I’ve been giving the Commuter TL case a try on my iPhone, and I’ve been very happy with the results. Not only has it saved me several times when I’ve dropped it, but the rubberized case prevents it from popping out of my back pocket, something that happened frequently before. Added bonus — now my husband and I can easily tell our phones apart!

Based out of Colorado, OtterBox makes sturdy cases dedicated to protecting today’s technological devices. Whether you’re an outdoor adventure seeker or a mom with her hands full constantly or both, they have a case for your phone, MP3 player or PDA to protect it from life’s everyday knocks and unexpected drops. Three Deal Seeking Mom readers will win their choice of an OtterBox Custom Phone Case valued up to $50!

To enter, tell me what piece of technology you worry about protecting the most.

Hi, I worry most about my PC. I had data wiped out a few times by viruses. Thankfully, I didn’t lose a lot of important stuff and I am glad my son helps to get my computer back in working order. Thanks Sean!

My iPhone is what I worry about protecting. See my 9 year old son has PDD (Pervasive Developmental Disorder). So I have a spreadsheet with all his doctors he has visited, procedures, therapies, and medications. This makes filling out new forms or updating forms easier. Also the calendar is great for keeping up with his appointments! So my iPhone is his and my lifeline! Therfore, I have to protect it and worry about scratches on the screen.

Thank God you posted this! I’ve gone through 5 iphones and have been unable to find a case that meets my needs. I’m not overly harsh on phones, but I do go through normal wear and tear, but I think it’s stuff a case should be able to prevent. I’ve heard good things about this type of case and would love to try it!
    PS- love your

I worry about all of it but probably my MAC desktop the most because it was the most expensive and it’s within reach of my two year old.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
