Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting several 24-hour giveaways throughout the day to give you plenty of chances to win!

Maybe you’re not ready to go full on green and use cloth for napkins, paper towels, or *gasp* even TP, but Marcal has a decent compromise with their Small Steps line of products. Marcal Small Steps are produced from recycled paper so they’re gentle on the environment while still being easy on the wallet.
We’ve been giving many of the Marcal Small Steps products a test drive around our house, and while they may be slightly less soft than their traditional counterparts, I’d say the environmental impact outweighs any slight difference in quality. If you want to give Marcal a try for yourself, there was a FREE Marcal Paper Products coupon in the 1/31 Smartsource insert!
Marcal Paper is dedicated to providing paper products to consumers like you that you can feel good about purchasing. As an “Earth-Friendly Paper Goods Company,” they believe products should work well, be good for the environment and be affordable. All of their products are made from recycled paper.

In our home we use cloth diapers (well, when we have a baby!) and napkins and use rags instead of paper towels for most household tasks.

Instead of paper napkins, I use cloth. Also I buy the cheap pack of white washclothes at target and use them to clean everything! and then wash them. My kids no longer use paper bags for their lunch, they take a cloth lunch bag and a stainless steel water bottle!!!

In our home, we use washable things- hand towels instead of paper towels, regular cups in the bathroom instead of paper cups, and try to use dish cloths to clean instead of paper towels.

After I cut out printed coupons, I use the remainder of the computer paper to write reminders to myself and even to jot down a grocery list.

Just started couponing this week! I make my first trip to the grocery tomorrow and I’m so excited to see the savings!
To cut down…we intentionally don’t use as much as we used to, simple but it works! We use and reuse scrap paper too.
Judy
We recycle as much paper as we can. We also use paper scraps from printing coupons and other things to write shopping lists and notes on. I love the Marcal paper towel.
Anne Marie
I use cloth towel rather than paper towels.
Bridget
We use junk mail that is only printed on one side as scrap paper. Just cut it into quarters and it is great to jot notes on!

I only use cloth napkins, no paper plates, and use just half of a paper towel at a time!!
Sherri Kramer
We never use paper/plastic plates, cups or utensils.
Kristen
I try to use as many of the scraps and little pieces left over I can when I scrapbook and make cards. I use regular plates instead of paper ones when I can. I also use the Marcal paper towel, but it’s hard to find around where I live. I wish more stores would start selling or I wish Costco would get it back in.
Elizabeth
I recycle as much as possible and use scrap paper (vs. new whole sheets of paper) for notes!
sharon
i save computer printouts and flip over to use as paper for when i print out coupons.

We have a rubbermaid tub on a rack in the laundry room. It is dedicated for recycling all things paper. So junk mail, envelopes, scrap pieces of paper, newspaper, etc all go into this tub. When it gets full then my husband takes it down to our large recycle bin. When we first started this I couldn’t believe how much paper we were just throwing away.
