Win-It Wednesday: Marcal Paper Products Package (4 Winners)!

February 17, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting several 24-hour giveaways throughout the day to give you plenty of chances to win!

Maybe you’re not ready to go full on green and use cloth for napkins, paper towels, or *gasp* even TP, but Marcal has a decent compromise with their Small Steps line of products. Marcal Small Steps are produced from recycled paper so they’re gentle on the environment while still being easy on the wallet.

We’ve been giving many of the Marcal Small Steps products a test drive around our house, and while they may be slightly less soft than their traditional counterparts, I’d say the environmental impact outweighs any slight difference in quality. If you want to give Marcal a try for yourself, there was a FREE Marcal Paper Products coupon in the 1/31 Smartsource insert!

Marcal Paper is dedicated to providing paper products to consumers like you that you can feel good about purchasing. As an “Earth-Friendly Paper Goods Company,” they believe products should work well, be good for the environment and be affordable. All of their products are made from recycled paper.

Four Deal Seeking Mom readers will win a Marcal Paper Products Package including:

  • Dinner Napkins
  • Napkin Drawstring Bag (180 ct.)
  • Upright Facial Tissues (80 ct.)
  • Facial Tissues (144 ct.)
  • Single Roll Giant Towel
  • 4 Rolls Bath Tissue 2-ply
  • 4 Rolls Bath Tissue 1-ply (1000 ct.)
  • Regular Towels (3 rolls)

To enter, tell me if there’s anything you do to cut down on paper waste in your home.

I use the back of any paper that is plain to print my coupons on. From the kids school information papers are the best, they are always one-sided. I hate wasting paper I pay for to save money.

I recently purchased some dishwashing towels that have a scrubber on the reverse side. Not only do I use them for dishwashing, they also replaces tasks that I used to use paper towels for, such as wiping down the kitchen counters and cleaning the stovetop.

We try to use our printer paper to the fullest, and we use coffee filters in place of paper plates or napkins when it is just better to use something disposable and when possible. I also want to use cloth diapers on our soon coming baby.

Recycle, recycle, recycle. I use both sides of the printer paper for coupons (you know how certain ones only print in the middle or top, etc) so I’m able to utilize both sides of the paper and not waste much.

We use cloth diapers around here! We also use rags to clean up all but the yuckiest messes! My husband came from a use-paper-towel-like-it’s-free kinda family and we’ve come a long way!

    1. I try to use cloths instead of paper products all the time. Sometimes I use cloth napkins, and I clean the bathtub with a sponge I keep using.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
