We would play cars. We would draw roads and stop signs with chalk on our court and drive our “cars” (bikes) around for hours. We would even have a cop to write you a ticket if you didn’t obey the traffic signs.

As a kid, I LOVED playing “bank” & “office”! We usually used Monopoly money for the bank & I set up a mini “office” in the laundry room, complete with office type papers, receipts, anything that was given to me :)

My favorite game was to pretend to be a modeling agent. I’d cut pictures out of magazines, post them on the wall and then pretend to get phone calls and book the models! Anything office related was super fun for me. My mom even bought me triplicate invoice books and receipt books. LOVE IT.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
