Friday night is pizza night around here. Some weeks it’s takeout, sometimes homemade, and sometimes frozen, but no matter how it arrives at the table, pizza night is a weekly Kuczykowski family ritual that we all look forward to.

Last week I served new Freschetta FlatBread pizzas as our entree. Freschetta was kind enough to send our family an awesome pizza kit which included free coupons to sample Freschetta pizza, along with a pizza stone, pizza cutter, and an oven mitt to make our kitchen feel like a real Italian pizzeria. I’ve been coveting a pizza stone for some time now, so I was especially excited to prepare our FlatBread pizza with it.

Our pizza tastes run from simple to more exotic, as can be expected in a large family, so we decided to taste test the 5-Cheese, Pepperoni, and Roasted Garlic & Spinach varieties. Of course the cheese got the thumbs up from the kids, pepperoni appealed to my husband, and I especially loved the garlic. But one thing we all agreed upon is that the thin and crispy flatbread crust was what really makes this pizza special.

    We have fun making individual pizzas at our house. Everyone gets their own pizza and toppings so there is no fighting amongst my 6, 8 and 10 year old boys! We usually watch movies together on pizza night.

    We don’t have a “pizza night”. When we do have home made pizza we have it at the dinner table like we do any other meal.

    Pizza night at our house is when everyone is exhausted. It would be great to have a pizza that could go in and cme right out. Then sit down and watch TV together

    On pizza night — we gather around decide on the place or store & what we all want. We get salad, pizza & wings. This is our one splerge when we do for the week or weeks. One child & one parent goes to get it. While the other parent & kids lay out a blanket for our living room picnic. When the pizza is here or ready. WE pick a movie as a family and have a picnic inside. We laugh & talk about the day & movie. Having teenagers and a toodler, its that we can all still be together and have fun!

    We usually have pizza & watch TV. Sometimes we order pizza when it is too hot to cook, eat it outdoors, and just enjoy being together & talking.

    We have pizza night each week on Wednesday, because my kids and I host an afternoon Dance Class at our house every Wednesday, so I never have time to make dinner after class. My family always looks forward to this dinner, even though I didn’t have to “make” anything for it!
