Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting 24-hour giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!
This is no ordinary fan — obviously. In fact, did you even realize that it IS a fan?
This is the new Dyson Air Multiplier Table Fan, and while you’ll definitely have to pay a good amount for this revolutionary technology, there are some very valid reasons why you should give it some consideration when making your next fan purchase:
- Notice there are NO blades — The Dyson Air Multiplier technology does not require blades to generate a steady stream of air. We don’t use traditional fans around our children because of the dangerous, fast-spinning blades. When I was younger, I leaned back over one of those old fans with the metal blades. It immediately sucked my long hair up in it, pulling out a good section of it, so while I learned the hard way, we’ve chosen not to expose our children to them at all.
- It’s super easy to clean — After a few days of use, traditional fan blades and the fan casing become caked with dust, fibers, and pollen. Getting them clean is a major ordeal, but with the Air Multiplier, you can just easily wipe it clean with a damp cloth. This is especially important for households with allergy sufferers.
- It uses a dimmer switch — Traditional fans usually only have 3-4 speed settings, but the Dyson Air Multiplier allows you to set your own perfect amount of air flow by turning a dial.
- You can easily tilt it with the touch-tilt feature — Box fans don’t tilt at all, and directional fans can become loose over time, making adjusting them difficult. The Dyson Air Multiplier has a touch-tilt feature that makes directing the air flow simple and easy.
I know some of you that use a fan at night to help you sleep are probably wondering if it’s silent. Well, it’s definitely quieter than a traditional fan, but it still provides a good amount of white noise that will help put you drift off to sleep.
We’ve been thoroughly happy with our Dyson Air Multiplier Fan. Besides being very futuristic-looking and a great conversation starter, it does a great job cooling off a room in a safe manner that’s very important to this mom of five.

I would let my daughter put it in her room. She sleeps with a fan all year long.
Cheryl
I would put it upstairs. It is super hot up there, no matter if the a/c is on.

I just bought my first house a few months ago, a brick bungalow. Unfortunately, the windows are all original (1951) and there is absolutely no insulation upstairs so the central air does not cool my bedroom. It’s been in the 90s here this summer so far, and the humidity is unbearable. I’ve had to sleep on the couch for the past two weeks because I can’t afford a window AC and I would literally die of heat stroke if I slept in my bedroom! I would LOVE to put this fan on my nightstand so I could sleep in my bed for the first time in weeks!
Sarah
I check your site every day, and am a fan on FB. I would love to have one of these! They are so cool! I need the soft sound of a fan to sleep by, and this would be softer and quieter than any one i own, which would help me sleep, and make my husband happy there is less noise!

I would put this on my baby’s side table. We don’t have an air conditioner unit so this would be great especially with August on its way!

I get your e-mails.

I would run it in our living room :) I have 3 kids and one is just 13 months old. The fan I have now is not safe for the baby so I have to put it away the minute he’s up from his nap. I’m so excited about the Dyson fan. Thanks so much!

Oh, I want this SOOO bad. I have seen this but I just can’t afford it. I would put this next to my bed, right by my head when I sleep. I love haveing air blowing in my face and would be much safer than the fan I have now.
Lisa
I would use this in my classroom at school. (I’m a teacher). There’s no air conditioning in my building!
Daniel
I would use this in my office at the Base.
Jennifer Scarpelli
I’d but it in my son’s room to keep him cool at night. It’s 90 degree here today!
Wendy Boyd
I saw the commercial for this the other day and was trying to figure out how in the world this thing would work – it’s pretty cool. Would love to win one…..
Lauren
in our bedroom. It is always hot on that side of the house and freezing in my daughters room.
Robyn
The Dyson fan would make a great addition in my treatment room. I’ve transformed a room into a comfortable setting as I spend 4 hours a day doing lung treatments to expel secretion due to cystic fibrosis. The cool air would enhance my environment and the lack of blades would prevent dust collection, which would benefit my lungs.
Kristen
I live in Arizona where it is HOT HOT HOT!!! I’d love to put this fan to the test! Thanks!!
