Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting 24-hour giveaways at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. ET to give you plenty of chances to win!

This is no ordinary fan — obviously. In fact, did you even realize that it IS a fan?
This is the new Dyson Air Multiplier Table Fan, and while you’ll definitely have to pay a good amount for this revolutionary technology, there are some very valid reasons why you should give it some consideration when making your next fan purchase:
- Notice there are NO blades — The Dyson Air Multiplier technology does not require blades to generate a steady stream of air. We don’t use traditional fans around our children because of the dangerous, fast-spinning blades. When I was younger, I leaned back over one of those old fans with the metal blades. It immediately sucked my long hair up in it, pulling out a good section of it, so while I learned the hard way, we’ve chosen not to expose our children to them at all.
- It’s super easy to clean — After a few days of use, traditional fan blades and the fan casing become caked with dust, fibers, and pollen. Getting them clean is a major ordeal, but with the Air Multiplier, you can just easily wipe it clean with a damp cloth. This is especially important for households with allergy sufferers.
- It uses a dimmer switch — Traditional fans usually only have 3-4 speed settings, but the Dyson Air Multiplier allows you to set your own perfect amount of air flow by turning a dial.
- You can easily tilt it with the touch-tilt feature — Box fans don’t tilt at all, and directional fans can become loose over time, making adjusting them difficult. The Dyson Air Multiplier has a touch-tilt feature that makes directing the air flow simple and easy.
I know some of you that use a fan at night to help you sleep are probably wondering if it’s silent. Well, it’s definitely quieter than a traditional fan, but it still provides a good amount of white noise that will help put you drift off to sleep.
We’ve been thoroughly happy with our Dyson Air Multiplier Fan. Besides being very futuristic-looking and a great conversation starter, it does a great job cooling off a room in a safe manner that’s very important to this mom of five.

I have RA and Fibromyalgia and sleep very warm. I would put this on my dresser to help me sleep better !

I would put it in my extra bedroom. The way our house is made, the window a/c doesn’t cool the back bedroom well where my granddaughter sleeps when she stays (which is usually once a week, but with summer, sometimes it’s 2-3 nites a week). This would help tremendously!
Charles
This would be perfect for my nightstand, keeping me reasonably cool at night without subjecting my wife to unwanted breezes!
Elizabeth
I get your emails, too!!! :)

I subscribe to your email list already.

We would put it ino ur daughters bedroom. It has been way too hot for her to sleep in her room so she has been sleeping in her pack and play which is not the most comfortable in our room for most of the summer so far. We can’t afford another air conditioner right now so this would help us out and it’s safe for her, no blades!
Amber
Definitely my bedroom, it gets so hot in the summer!

I would put this in my daughters dresser. I hate fans with blades just for the reasons you listed above. I love how this one doesn’t have the blades so no harm can be done to my little girl!! Dyson’s are the best!!

I’m just getting ready to switch my daughter out of a crib and into a toddler bed. This fan would be perfect to put on the table that will sit behind her bed. I’m always fearful of the blade fans and her getting close to them.
Jennifer
I’d put one on my nightstand. I have to have the air moving at night when I sleep

How exciting! I just saw a commercial for this the other day and had to show it to my husband. I would probably use mine in the kitchen or laundry room the most but could see myself toting it around the house too.

My husband work moved him home to work. He is in a 10 X 10 room with lots of electronics. It gets so hot in there. I tried to darken the window but nothing seems to help. If I would win this would be great for him. Thanks.
Chris
I would LOVE one of these. I have looked at them before but never been able to afford one. We live on a farm and sometimes it gets really hot and humid @ night. I have a 6 month old and a 4 & 5 year old runnig around. I would love to be able to put this out and not have to worry about little fingers and long hair!

I have been wanting one of these since I first saw them just so expensive, love the whisper quiet rather than the putter of blades. This would save me money when I run it instead of the air conditioning
