AfterSoles and CitySlipsCitySlips and AfterSoles
Like many women, I love wearing high heels, but inevitably after a few hours of dancing, I’m ready to take them off because my feet start hurting. CitySlips and AfterSoles are the perfect solution. They fold up compactly enough to fit in the smallest of purses, so you can just whip them out and slip them on — instant comfy footwear anywhere!

More About CitySlips and AfterSoles
Susie Levitt and Katie Shea developed the concept for CitySlips while living in New York City and attending NYU. With drive and determination, the pair consulted friends, professors and established professionals to make their vision a reality during their senior year of college.

I pay more attention to style and THEN wish I paid more attention to comfort -that’s why I have a lot of cute shoes I never wear. I always end up wearing my “reliable” brown shoes (I teach) because that way my feet won’t hurt by the end of the day.

I look for style first but if the shoe is too uncomfortable I would never buy it since I’ll end up not wearing them anyway. I have probably about 35 pairs.

comfort all the way. I mostly wear flip flops and birkenstocks!

  26. Julie

    February 3, 2010 at 3:59 pm

I go for comfort usually, but sometimes there’s a pair of cute shoes that aren’t so comfy that I put up with the discomfort…just to look cute!! I think I have about 15 pairs of shoes at the moment (not counting slippers and flipflops)…but I’m due a purge, as I’ve replaced some old faves with new ones and haven’t gotten rid of the old ones yet!!

    February 3, 2010 at 3:59 pm

Comfort definitely, but you won’t catch me wearing ugly shoes!

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
