My three-year-old daughter has been asking to see the “Chicken Mucks” movie since she first saw the trailers several months ago. I have fond memories of watching the Alvin and the Chipmunks cartoon on Saturday mornings when I was little, and of course I loved the Chipettes, so we were both thrilled when the Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel arrived on our doorstep last week.

The look on her face was priceless when I handed her the double DVD pack, and she insisted on watching it right away. Since my older boys were on Spring Break, we decided to hold a mid-day family movie session, and we had a blast. We’re getting to the stage in our family where it’s hard to find movies that will appeal to me and my husband, while still appealing to all of the kids, and this movie totally fits the bill.

Sure Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel can be a bit corny at times, but it has some great teachable moments, and the music will have you singing along — which coincidentally you’ll be able to do all. the. time. with “The Squeak Along” bonus disc. Ask me how I know, LOL.

    I loved Alvin and the Chipmunks as a child and I love it that my three year old daughter loves them to. She loves the “girl chipmunks!”

    Yes, I watched Alvin as a child. My husband actually found a lot of the old ones and my kids watch them now.

    growing up in albanian do I did and could not watch the chipmunks, but my twin babies love them and dance to their songs….love love theodore….haha

    Yes. I watched this as a child. I even have the record “Chipmunk Rock” which I listened to all the time. Now my son listens to it.

    Oh how I loved hearing…..AAAAALLLLLLVVVVVIIIINNNNN!!!! You always knew Alvin was in trouble again…..great memories as a kid! Now, my kids love them too!!!

    My sister and I loved the Chipmunks when we were growing up. We used to re-enact the band… I was always Theodore (my favorite) and she was Alvin! LOL
