Win-It Wednesday: ALL YOU Eat Well, Save Big Cookbook (7 Winners!)

January 20, 2010 by Tara Kuczykowski

Join me every week for Win-It Wednesday. I’ll be posting several 24-hour giveaways throughout the day to give you plenty of chances to win!

All You Eat Well, Save Big Cookbook

I’m a foodie at heart, so I love trying out new recipes. When I heard that All You, my absolute fave magazine, was publishing a cookbook, I jumped at the chance to review it. All You Eat Well, Save Big is filled with over 140 meals under $2.50 per serving, this is a fantastic resource for those of us trying to live within a budget. These recipes don’t skimp on meat, and are full of flavor.

I love the fact that the recipes have a reasonable number of ingredients. My eyes just glaze over when I see those ingredients lists that are ten miles long. And I also enjoyed the Smart Tips that are shared throughout the book, giving advice on choosing the perfect pot, quick and easy side dishes, how to pick the perfect produce, and much more.

Of course, what publication from All You would be complete without coupons? The following coupons are included in the back:

  • $1/2 Jack Daniel’s Barbecue Sauce or EZ Marinader, exp. 12-31-10
  • $1/1 Lea & Perrins Thick Classic Worcestershire Sauce, exp. 12-31-10
  • $1/1 Marzetti Salad Dressing, exp. 12-31-10
  • $1/1 Reames Egg Noodles, exp. 12-31-10
  • $1/2 New York Brand Frozen Products, exp. 12-31-10
  • $1/1 Mahatma White, Brown, Gold, or Basmati Rice, exp. 12-31-10

My favorite is tator tot casserole. Mix 2 cans cream of mushroom soup with 2 tblsp of minced onion, 16 oz sour cream and 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese. Place 1 bag of frozen tator tots in the bottom of a casserole dish, top with the cheese mix. Then crush 1 box of cheezit crackers and mix with 1 stick melted butter. Top the casserole with it and bake at 350 for 45 min. Yummm

Homemade chill in the crock-pot. I use a McCormick package for the seasoning. Instead of regular tomatoes I use zesty tomatoes. I use turkey meat instead of hamburger.

Hey there — nice to meet you!

I'm Tara: mom of 5 teens/tweens and one 80-lb. Weimaraner, who fancies herself a lap dog. Born and raised in Ohio (GO BUCKS!!!), my fave things include cooking + baking, my JEEP Rubicon, the 4x4 beaches at OBX, and checking out the local craft beer scene...

As you can imagine, all of this puts a good dent in my monthly budget. So I've learned how to save on the things I NEED, so I can spend on the things I WANT.
